Had ave.exe virus, messed up other .exes'

Hi, about two days ago I encountered the oh so infamous ave.exe that basically makes it look like its a security program that can trick you into delete stuff. Disregard that, I now have this error happen whenever I open chrome and other .exes,
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000000022). Click on OK to terminate the application."
Then, if I click on the OK button, it will take me to the chrome page that says it needs to be refreshed or go to another page and repeats itself.
Help please?
