If only a VR turok game...
It's amazing how far graphics have come in such a short timespan, I remember being impressed by the dinosaur demo on PS1.

i thought it was going to turn into a vore simulator for a second there
This was hard to watch for me because I seriously think I have some sort of dinosaur phobia, so it's like a neat horror game.

I'm still surprised that even this video looks that good.
I'd like to see dinosaurs rendered with feathers.

It looks good, but it doesn't look like a significant improvement over Crysis 1. (Which is now more than 7 years old)
That "breath" effect looked REALLY bad. Everything else looked fantastic but the "breath" looked awful. It was way too opaque and it wasn't consistent enough.
Imagine Peter Jackson's King Kong game remastered in this engine. Holy shit.
Are T-Rex's usually that shiny? And do they exhale smoke like dragons as well? Environment was nice though.
That fucking dragonfly, i jumped back a little even watching it in little embed window, can't imagine what would I do with the Rift.

The dragon fly bit dragged on for way too long, and the shadow_oap's right the T-rex was maybe a bit too shiny looked like something out of COD where every model is just riddled with phong.
Dem eggs tho.

I don't really understand what the thing where the camera was moving from side to side with the T-Rex. Were they having some sort of stare-down?? Or?
I tried the UE4 Tech Demo with the Oculus DK2 and the robot really jumped me.
Imagining myself in this one with the Dragonfly and T-rex,god that would've been tense

It'd be funny if you looked away from the T-Rex and it was programmed to move into your point of view like "PAY ATTENTION TO ME"
not a T-Rex, too many digits on the forelimbs
There have been T-Rex skeletons unearthed with 3 fingers
I don't doubt that a T-Rex would be that shiny. After all, didn't scientists come to the conclusion that the earth was really humid during the Cretaceous period? That's how I've seen it portrayed in many a documentary series.
Imagine how cool horror features must be with VR, like that dragonfly for instance. It could buzz in your ear to try to get your attention and make you look at it, and then when you turn back something could be standing infront of you.
Or make like weeping angels and have something move when you dont keep your eyes on it.
I'm pretty sure someone's already made a low quality (probably Unity engine) game with weeping angels (or something that works the same) for Oculus. I vaguely recall watching it.

There's a game called Dreadhalls for the OR that plops you in a randomly generated dungeon maze, and one of the things to look out for are weeping angel-esque gargoyle statues.
The graphics are kinda mediocre, or at least, not what's really cool about this. What's really impressing me is the real-time binaural sound. Check this out with headphones
Everything looked pretty nice except for the dinosaur. But it's not like it's really groundbreaking.
For a tech demo, the graphics just look like an average game.

T. rex has a third finger like Humans have tails.
Cool tech demo, but pretty dull to be honest. Now imagine a Jurrasik park style monorail, that would be dope.
I am pretty sure there were no birds back then.
The rex looked almost composited in afterwards. It didn't look like it matched the environment.
But fantastic detail on the trex model. I noticed the breathing would move through it's nostrils and through its head on the sides.

There were, quite a few in fact.
Can we just have another Carnivores game, please? The Hunter: PRimal tries to get that but it's too survival based, I just want the good ol' classic "We're hunting fucking dinosaurs"
For whatever reason I completely missed the fact that this was a VR demo until like half way through the video, and was sitting awing at how realistic the camera movements were. I need to get some sleep.
Looks kind of like the artstyle used in Call of Duty Black Ops, and by that I mean TOO MUCH PHONG
