Sometimes even police officers are dicks to their fellow officers
in July, Nel was suspended 30 days after he failed to cover a fellow officer outside a Whataburger off of Northwest Loop 410, who was dealing with an intoxicated man causing a disturbance.
The incident report states that when Officer Nel arrived at the Whataburger, the manager asked him if he was there to assist with the intoxicated person outside. He responded no and said that he was there to eat.
I know Whataburger is good, but what a fucking dickhead. The officer who needed help ended up calling in backup from another source...personally I think he should be relieved of duty for what he did.
"Officer, help, I'm being mugged!"
"Sorry sir, you'll have to wait, these fries are too damn good."
what a joke

Im sorry, it would be a crime to let this burger get cold
Gotta love buddy fuckers.
Surprise surprise: dicks are dicks regardless of occupation
This is the case with a lot of PD's. Some people don't like other people. I know of one who took his gun belt off, slammed it on the desk and challenged another right there in the office to a fight. And if you're one of those snitching type of cops who throws your fellow officers under the bus over something minor, Yep, you better believe backup is going to be a little slower than usual. But that's the case anywhere. No one wants to do any favors for people who go out of their way to get you into trouble

Maybe so, but we don't know the relationship between these two officers. Clearly from the article the officer involved is a problem officer. Even then going by what you say - safety and professionalism is more important. If you put someones safety in to jeopardy due petty shit you just as bad if not worse then the other person.

Ah, yes, this was how he was to join The Ancient Noble Order of the Blue Falcon - by telling his colleague and the manager to screw off, he was going to enjoy some damn nice fast food. Fuck the rest.
