Red meat is off the menu at Forest Green Rovers
Burgers and sausages have been banned from being sold to fans at Forest Green Rovers football club.
A ban on red meat was introduced for players at the Blue Square Bet Premier club a few weeks ago but now the policy has been extended to the whole stadium.
It has been brought in by club chairman Dale Vince who is a vegan and owner of green electricity company Ecotricity.
Free-range poultry and fish from sustainable stocks will continue to be served.
“I think the old sausage bap won't be much lamented”
Communications director, Forest Green Rovers Tom Williams said: "Following discussions with the manager and on nutritional advice, it was decided to no longer feed our team red meat for health and performance reasons.
"[It has now been] decided that this policy should be extended to the stadium, at least in part as a further step in establishing ourselves as a "green" organisation.
"We appreciate that some will miss their burgers and sausages, but our catering staff are working hard on a range of tasty and interesting products to replace those that are no longer available.
"This is obviously a break with tradition but in time we hope that many will come to see it as a step forward rather than a step backwards.
"We're a country now where apparently chicken tikka masala is the most popular national dish. I think the old sausage bap won't be much lamented."[/quote]
Talk about forcing your views on other people...
Man, this is why I hate vegans guts, most of them want to force everyone to eat what they eat. It's your eating behaviour, not a fucking religion!

How those silly vegans see it:
I eat bunny food. You must eat it too. Eat it! EAT IT! AND NOTHING ELSE!
I don't eat red meat. You can't eat it either because I say so. STOP EATING MEAT! NO MEAT!! BAWW!!

It's just these fucking idiots who think that EVERYONE needs to be like them. It IS the same as religious extremists and gives them all a bad name.

Comparing someone forcing eating habits on other people to a wide base of religions which all preach that their religion to be spread. Basically this kind of person is more arrogant than religious extremists cause their food doesn't tell them to spread it around.

Nor does the religion.
When is the last time something fictional and non-existent has forced any-one to do anything.
He is vegan. He obviously isn't intelligent.
Even a brief glance through known human development will tell you that meat has always comprised a huge portion of the human diet. Which should tell you a great deal about what is generally necessary to maintain your health.
You actually physically couldn't even be vegan and healthy until relatively recently. The vitamin supplements necessary to maintain your health couldn't be produced in a vegan fashion.
I can understand vegetarians but vegans are just plain stupid.

No one cares if you don't want people to eat meat
1. Buy sausages from local supermarket
2. Sell at match
3. Buy gold mansion on Mars

Let's follow Gary Busey's advice.

For some people it does have to do with religion. Seventh Day Adventists for example are almost always vegan or at least vegetarian.
I agree though, let people eat what they want to eat.
