Im building a Gaming pc and need some advice, here is the setup i chosed: Intel Core i7 930 2.80ghz Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R 3x2gb DDR3 Gskill 1600Mhz RIPJAWS WD Black 640Gb sata3 64mb buffer Gigabyte GTX470 1280MB GDDR5 ThermalTake V6 Black Edition Thermaltake 750W TR2 Modular Is it ok? What would you change? Thanks facepunch.
you don't need an i7 for gaming this sounds like a prebuilt
again, like posted in the old thread, thermaltake sounds like a shit-PSU brand which probably won't output the full 700w.
you've never heard of thermaltake?
how much are you paying for that? because unless you're getting it for a cheap price there's no reason to go for 1st gen i7/GTX 470

IIRC socket 1155 doesn't support tri-channel, so these are the first generation i3/15/i7 line. Not sandy bridge. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline] right? or am i stupid?

they're not the best brand but they're not terrible, they don't have a lot worth looking at though they do a lot of stupid aesthetics-over-function stuff though, level 10 case and spinQ cooler come to mind it's also pretty easy to confuse them with thermaltake their PSUs are alright but there's nearly always a better option for the price, even their good ones are still only OEMed by CWT
