Instead of posting all the videos in the series, I'll just post the first and last of each fast. I doubt you would watch all 120+ videos.

Holy shit that's quite the before and after...
That's one way to lose weight.
Just would like to point out that is definately is possible for a person to go 40 days without food, however it is very painful. It takes 45-61 days for someone to die of starvation.
I always thought that you couldn't go longer than 3 weeks without food.
3 minutes without air
3 hours without shelter
3 days without water
3 weeks without food

oh man, she looks so unhealthy as it progresses
Fasting has always been a thing within Christianity, I know several people that have done it. At this point I'm pretty sure people know how to do it without killing themselves.

How does that one make sense?
Do people usually die if they're outside for more than 3 hours?

If figured 3 hours without shelter (or protective clothing) under poor weather (cold, extremely wet, etc.) since you'd eventually get hypothermia.

I'm thinking that's more just a convenient rule. It starts being really unhealthy once you go without any of those for longer than the times on there, anyway.

When I went to Finnish confirmation school (basically a 1-week religious camp that most kids go to in Finland) we were supposed to fast for a couple of days. I smuggled bread from the last dinner before the fasting began, that I kept fresh in empty candy bags, and sold it to other kids for profit.

I don't know, mine is more like:
3 seconds without phone
3 minutes without internet
3 hours without TV
3 days without sleep
Everything else like this food and water bullshit is pointless to me.

"Pregnant with 8th child"
why
Honestly, I don't understand why one would want to have that many kids.

Although congrats to her for coming out of it a better person, and healthy enough to bear children.
I screwed up. The second to last was "Water fasts" whatever that is

The reason this is being done is to increase faith. What really going on is various higher and abstract focused thinking brain functions are being shut down. Neurons are being killed off. The result is a person who is more pliable and more likely to believe any suggestions.
It is a brain washing technique when taken to the unhealthy extreme. Sometimes visions do occur. People take that as a sign that God or a spiritual force is talking to them. No, its the biological equivalent of your brain undergoing the blue screen of death. Your brain is an energy, and nutrient intensive organ. Your being cares more of keeping it going then keeping your smart. This "shut down" when energy and nutrition is not readily available is thus a survival mechanism that can be exploited for social engineering under artificial conditions.
Once done, the damage is permanent and so are the results.
I once seen a video of westernized Islamic teens who went to a madrasa (religious summer camps) due to the parents interference and the process was documented. I forgot the name of it. What happened is they were fed poor quality food and the mental process from atheists and skeptics to full blown believers were interesting to see. If I find it or any one knows what I am talking about, let me know, so I may post it here.

fasting does not kill neurons as long as you're hydrated

This goes so far beyond the purposes of real Christian fasting. There were two types of fasting in the Old Testament: ritual fasting and voluntary fasting. Ritual fasting had to do with certain festivals or times of the years, and voluntary fasting was a response to intense peril and/or intense mourning. I know of no fasting that had the purpose of increasing faith or simply getting closer to God.
The New Testament takes away all compulsion for ritual fasting, but allows for voluntary fasting. Interestingly enough, I went to a well known Biblical expositor's website and it specifically warns Christians to not try and get become more righteous or get closer to God through fasting because that is never its purpose.

3 hours without shelter? Haven't you been outside for longer than 3 hours? You fukken vampire.

Learn something new everyday. What I said was based on what anti cult literature I was reading a few years back.
I am very interested hearing those who specialize in medicine and psychology (and related fields) have to say about what going on during the process.

What I meant is, it is designed to shut down critical thinking faculties. This is from an anti cult stand point.
From a medical standpoint, when fasting, the brain converts using glucose to using ketones almost exclusively, which is not a safe metabolism, because a tiny part can convert to acetone, which is neurotoxic.
So basically, you have more chances of neurons dying when fasting than when not fasting.

so your metabolism can produce acetone and literally bleach your brain? whoa.
