Is the AMD 965 processor any good?

I've been looking at new processors and the 965 in particular caught my eye. I've looked at the benchmarks but I want your opinions. Also, is this card any good at over-clocking? I'm only hoping to do a small, maybe 500mhz, over-clock.

I'm wondering because AMD has a deal if you buy a combo deal on newegg, they include MW2 for free.

So is it any good for gaming? I'm planning to get a 5850 along with it if that helps anyone.

Just get the 955, it's basically the same thing. Just a bit faster clock speed that you can easily get by overclocking.

yeah, but the bundle includes a whole lot better motherboard, but I don't think I'd ever fill 4 Pci-e slots.:v:

The 955 is awesome. I got it stable at ~3.7 on the stock cooler.

All Phenom 2 x4's will be the same in gaming, since there all the same processor just over clocked from each one. I have a Phenom 2 x4 945 and I can tell you, no game will lag anymore as long as you have good memory and a graphics card to support it.

So, just get the 955 .
