MyFitnessPal is actually compatible with Google Fit! Just grab the update through Play Store/APKMirror, and you should see data from it stream in:

I never knew Google Fit was a thing until right now. Going to give this a try. Consolidating my tracking will be great.

how do you connect the two apps? i just installed Fit and MyFitnessPal, but they don't seem to be working together. on Fit, I just see the main screen (0 min today, etc) but nothing else.

haven't looked myself but there is probably an option to connect to Fit inside of myfitnesspal

Last I checked you had to have a Google smart watch or similar to even use Fit.

Oh cool, it works now. Last time I booted it up it asked me to sync my Android Wear and refused to let me advance until I did that.

I didn't ever recall it prompting me to get something with Android Wear set up.

Maybe it might have been because it saw that you had a Wear device paired and wanted to offer on-watch tracking too?
