• Advice on motherboard upgrade

Hey, Here are my current specs: My motherboard is about do die. If I touch some of the wires it turns off and bits have broken off before now. I also think you'll agree that it's quite dated. I was just wondering if you guys could give me some advice? I have two options: 1. Replacing the mobo, but keeping everything else. 2. Upgrading to a newer mobo, but also replacing the CPU and RAM to something like an i5/7. Waddya guys think? I don't wanna spend too much either. If I was just gonna replace the mobo, which one would you recommend? (Budget about £90) If I was gonna go for the full wack and upgrade the CPU too, which one should I get? (Budget about £250, but preferably lower, obviously) Thanks for the help!
You can buy my Motherboard, I'm selling it, I would accept £90, you wouldn't get a better motherboard for that price. /shameless advertising
Milky, isn't it a GD85 you mean? Also, how does the GD85/80 compare to the Asus Sabertooth?
Milky, isn't it a GD85 you mean? Also, how does the GD85/80 compare to the Asus Sabertooth?
The 85 comes with USB3. I don't know how it compares directly, all I know is I have yet to find a bad review of the P55 GD80, all citing that it is a great 1156 motherboard.
So... any advice?
Honestly, your cpu is still pretty nice. But if I were you and had the money I'd get an setup.
How about this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145748 with this cooler: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176157
