Not really suprising since the Black Panthers are rather biased. Jesus he's even supporting Gadaffi.
Things just aren't going well for him these days.
Things just aren't going well for him these days.
Since when have they for the Black Panthers?
i like how he compares gaddafi's disregard of human rights and killing people for no reason at all to police brutality in the states.

First reaction when I saw this thread : Oh I have fucking GOT to see this Kind of let down.
Breaking News: Black Panthers accuse black man of being white, pitting them against a black man; everyone confused
i don't get why new black panthers even exists...
i don't get why new black panthers even exists...
Seriously? Oppressed groups of people lash out against the people who oppress them. It isn't hard to figure out why they exist.
Seriously? Oppressed groups of people lash out against the people who oppress them. It isn't hard to figure out why they exist.
Black people are oppressed? Present tense? What?
Black people are oppressed? Present tense? What?
Yeah, absolutely. Do I need to get the figures that show huge discrepancies in political representation, poverty, and incarceration, or are you just going to clamp your hands over your ears and pretend everything is fine?

That sounds an awful lot like modern day gangsta rap.
Black people are oppressed? Present tense? What?
Oh hell yeah they are. The system is still racist even if the people aren't. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline]
That sounds an awful lot like modern day gangsta rap.
No, its bitches and hos.
Oh hell yeah they are. The system is still racist even if the people aren't. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] No, its bitches and hos.
Don't forget the niggas man. Seriously, gangsta rap is full of it.
Oh hell yeah they are. The system is still racist even if the people aren't.
The system is still racist and the people are too, they just aren't open about it anymore. I most likely have prejudices that I'm not even consciously aware of.
As weird as this sounds, Obama probably is representing the white man. I've never seen that much of an oreo in my life. At the same time, who did the Black Panthers expect to get elected? Malcolm X's corpse?
Yeah, absolutely. I think it's something everyone should see.
I would like to see the figures, just as a point of reference in how bad things are, if you do have them. I think it's something everyone should see.
https://www.aca.org/government/population.asp That's a great link. There's all sorts of interesting and, honestly, disheartening statistics. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0882775.html That one's even more disheartening. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0882775.html A relevant chart.

Looking just at the federal death penalty data released by the Department of Justice between 1995–2000, 682 defendants were charged with death-eligible crimes.[3] Out of those 682 defendants, the defendant was black 48% of the cases, Hispanic in 29% of the cases, and white in only 20% of the cases
:smith:
The Black Panthers are still around? What about the Pink Panthers?
Sorry, just had to do it.
Yeah, alright, there are gaps between blacks and whites - but I think that's just the product of past oppression. Also, the fact there is a gap today, doesn't mean there is an oppression today. Honestly, as a non-American, and as someone who isn't really interested in the American society and "racial-relations", I don't know much about it. I'm not making a statement, but wondering why there is a claim of oppression.

That's why there's still a pay disparity and still a disproportionally massive amount of blacks in prisons and still a massive amount of blacks being sent to death row.

Racism isn't the cause of most problems nowadays, but its effects are still responsible for a large number of them.
Black power
