• Why is Mozilla consuming so much memory?

Basically; Mozilla used to take up about 30k kb memory. I don't have many addons, and look at it now: Almost nothing has changed since it used little memory. I have a Trojan.Zlob.O that I can't remove, any connections?
it is a dragon. dragons eat things.
Firefox has always been a resource hog. It's because of history snapshots and all that crap. you can lower the allowed usage in the config if you're running into memory shortages.
But a sudden burst like that? From 30k to over 800k? And how would I do that?
Cache.
Ok, I got it down to 66k. Now it doesn't take more RAM then gmod at least.
Firefox's memory usage seems to vary pretty wildly. I have 15 tabs open, and a YouTube video playing and it's only using 250MB, but at times with only a couple tabs open it's using over 800MB. Wouldn't worry about it, really.
