Alright so I currently own a 02 Civic LX. It's my first car and I can't complain.

I'm also currently using a 12" Walmart Brand Sub-woofer (Dual) which isn't the greatest. So I ordered 2 15" Boss Subs.

And I was wondering which one of these I should I get.

Seems pretty straight forward. My friend had one like this and it sounded good. But I read something about how ported subboxes need to have ports specific sizes for different speakers. And It included a super confusing formula.
Or:

Like I mentioned above I don't if that box is "tuned" for my subs or whatever.
Maybe I shouldn't shouldn't get a ported box, I haven't decided entirely. But advice on getting a sealed, ported or bandpass box is appreciated
Also if theres anything I should be prepared for, like any problems that I'll encounter with putting such a big speaker system into a smaller car. I already know those two boxes will fit.
I've got a 42"Wide and 17 Tall trunk. I dont really care how far it sticks out from the back of the trunk.
Just tape them to the hood
when you're driving the music will fly backwards towards you so that you can hear it better :eng101:
I have used both ported and sealed boxes. I had better results with a sealed box but others argue ported is better. Im running two 10 inch subs in a rectangle box that fits underneath the back seat of my truck.
Just a opinion, but Sonic Electronix is awesome at shipping and overall buying experience.
If the first one had the isolation of the second one, I'd go for the first as the second one has too small holes and those dumb small square holes that I hate. The holes on the first one seem big enough and it seem really simple and simplicity is very good for beginners. You should absolutely go for ported box since that makes bass more powerful (could depend on the speakers though) but if the ports and the box are too small the speakers will kinda backfire, ruining the bass.
Fill it with fine cement powder first, trust me it'll make it sound better.
Neither. Don't ruin someone else's day with your gay ass music. You assholes go around at 3 AM and blast that shit. Trust me I know your kind.

lol
Why the hell do you need dual 15" subs?
Get a singe 8" (or maybe dual if you're a bassjunkie) and mount it in the middle of the rear deck.
Or remove the sound insulative material between the trunk and the cabin.
In short, if you have a sub in the trunk, make sure the sound can get from the trunk to the cabin as easy and unmuffled as possible.

Bragging rights.
You'll need some heavy duty amps.
There's so many people in my town who buy an exhaust tip + subs for a honda civic and think they're SO GANGSTA, it's actually quite hilarious. Regardless, I would buy the box that I knew was going to work correctly. Bad box + good subs still = crap quality.
Do it blues brothers style
It depends on what you want the subs to be tuned for. Boominess, or a more reformed sound. Also what amp will you be using, and are you sure you need 15 inch subs. Apart from going deaf you will also tear that car apart using massive amounts of vibrations.
Might want to work on getting a license plate first. :downs:
Attach them to the rear bumper so the soundwaves boost your car forward.

I got a stock volvo and subs and I am very gangsta
Sell that civic and get something that would cancel the douche of a subwoofer.
With a honda you're just doubling the trouble with a sub.
Build your own if you have the tools, MDF is ideal. Do you want a ported or sealed box? Ported boxes are sexier, air rushing everywhere, and if done right better quality etc, but sealed is much simpler.
Hey I know this is kind of off-topic but do you think I could come over some time, meet your parents, and maybe live with you for a while? We can go around places in your car and do other fun stuff. I don't know you that well but from the look of your front of your house and your garage, I can tell your a fun guy :DD

Sure!
Just make it, Get 3/4 inch mdf, some silicon sealer, and a few hours. It's not hard.
You need a table saw, a router, and some nails.
If you dont have a router, a jigsaw will work too.
Edit:
And boss subs are terrible, and lemme guess, you bought a legacy or another flea market trash brand?
