Russian police and security agents detained 140 people at a mosque in Moscow on Friday on suspicion of involvement with Islamic extremism. A statement from the Federal Security Agency reported by Russian news agencies said among those detained were 30 citizens of unspecified foreign countries. The detentions come a week after the two suspects in the fatal Boston Marathon bombings were identified as Russian-born ethnic Chechens who sympathized with Islamic extremists. There were no immediate reports of charges being filed. The security agency referred The Associated Press to a district office, where the telephone was not answered.
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/russia-detains-140-suspected-islamic-extremists-19051175#.UXteIbWTiSp
why i get the feeling at least 90% of those arrested are suspects for sole reason of being in a mosque lol.

Really, Russia? Really?

Ironically and interestingly, the Boston Bombing could be the excuse Russia wants to begin asserting power again. I wouldn't be surprised if they started making military moves in the Caucus soon.

They are improving relations and recently agreed to restart trade. I don't know who they're going to assert power to, they already have plenty of war games in the Caucasus and pretty much control the Caspian sea with their navy, As for the North Caucasus, they already own it.

I doubt another conflict with Georgia soon. What I meant was more of a military crackdown on the separatists in Chechnya itself. Russia is looking to expand its influence, so anti-Islamist moves here could spread to the "stans". This is all hypethetical though, but Russia is looking to expand its influence again so this could possibly be an excuse to do so.
Really, Russia? The nord ost was some crazy shit. They went in unorganized, ambulances were too few and also unorganized, and everything was just basically FUBAR. Then, the gas, oh man, why did they kept the info to them? Seems like the objective was to test the gas, not to save lives :pwn:
