Ten people have died in a fighter jet crash at a military base in Spain, the Defence Ministry says.
Military officials said that the Greek F-16 jet crashed into other planes and exploded at the Los Llanos airbase in Albacete in central Spain.
One of the pilots performed a wrong manoeuvre during take-off, according to local media. Both pilots were killed.
Another 13 people have been injured, six of them seriously, according to officials.
Spanish officials said that the jet was participating in a Nato training exercise called the Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP).
Posts like this are so tedious, especially when the avatar isn't even marginally relevant

My avatar is technically more relevant... Also, saw this earlier, very horrifying.
Wrong manuever? What, did he try to do a barrel roll or something?

Not terribly unusual for a hotshot in a fighter jet to do some stupid maneuver to impress people on the ground, especially in a country with lax enforcement preventing such a thing.

Or there was an engine failure...

That wouldn't explain why he left the runway and crashed into a bunch of static aircraft on the pad.
He pulled a "wrong maneuver" during takeoff, which caused a loss of power.
What does that mean, military-slash-aircraft experts?

Well this starts the discussion off well.
On-topic, very tragic...

Nothing in the article says there was a loss of power, that's just Zambies' theory.

It says it in the first paragraph, though.
Literally, "lost power"
I'm doing air quotes as I type this with my tongue.
