For some reason i am getting a really low framerate in crysis 2. I tried lowering my settings and updating my drivers, that didnt work.
Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
AMD Phenom II X4 945
4.0GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 401MHz
ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2
AMD High Definition Audio Device.
I appreciate the help.
Try disabling Crossfire (SLI?) then playing. Your hardware shouldn't be having any problem with that game.

If by crossfire you mean Catalyst AI, i already disabled that. Otherwise, how would i go about doing that?

Is that an 4870 x2 or a crossfire setup?
Also how low is your framerate and checkyour temperatures.

Huh, it says crossfire is disabled for my video card.
My video card temp. was 60 C, and my video cards second GPU was 50 C.
My framerate was on average, about 25. The game looks incredible choppy and slow, and im used to games running at atleast 60 or more fps.

Although for some reason, on the title screen i had 500+ FPS. :v:
Lemme rephrase that.
Do you have one or 2 cards in your pc.
AKA
Do you have a dual GPU 4870 (named the X2) or fo you have 2 seperate 4870's
I have a dual GPU, not 2 video cards.
What is your PSU? And can you download Furmark , run that for 10 minutes on stability test mode and post the highest temp you got.
How do i find out what model my PSU is?
As for the Furmark test, the maximum temperature i got was 80. For the most part, my first gpu just climbed up to 79 and sat there, occasionally rising to 80 before falling back to 79. My 2nd gpu just sat at 54 the whole time.
Open the case and look.
Temperature is fine.
I got a 600 watts Power supply.
Also, i dont have problems running any other games at all. (Bad company 2, bioshock 2, all the valve games etc.)
Should be fine.
Have you tried setting everything to bare minimum in catalyst control centre and Crysis2?

I just tried it, and it was running about 10-20 fps faster, but it looked like ass. Also, i have a friend who can run this game max settings with a really high framerate, and his computer is not as good as mine.
Have you tried reinstalling Direct X and your GPU drivers (Remove them with Drive sweeper)
Also go into your bios and disable your onboard GPU + Check the PCI-e 16x bus speed.

Oh screw it, id rather just forget about the game than go messing around in the bios.
