It can be seen that a lot of GD is being taken up by threads involving politics and their discussions, would it be a good idea to have a Politics sub-forum?

Perhaps with megathreads involving specific topics?

It isn't like their clogging up GD, but they do take up a pretty large chunk of front page space. Just a suggestion really.

According to mods, Garry hates subforums.

There really isn't a need to separate it more than it is now, the only thing that falls under General Discussion that needed to be separate was news articles, and that's because they're supposed to be facts while GD is mostly opinion threads.

But the more sub forums we get the more pointless GD becomes, since it's the [i]general[/i] discussion forum. So it's likely to not happen.
