I've discovered that pirating is justified and is morally correct.
Or atleast pirating from big companies.
You figure your money would just go to them and little would go to the people actually responsible for your product.... so what's the point in buying?
That's about it... do I sound stupid? There's no point in buying virtual products if the people who made it don't get a big enough reparation. So fuck big companies. Am I making sense?
Good example of what I'm trying to say;
I've never pirated an indie game and I never will.
I only pirate those kind of games with $60 pricetags and 5 hour campaigns.

Another example, I bought Garry's Mod (in contrast... I didn't steal anything, but just for example.) I bought it because I knew 1. it would be fun, 2. Garry would gain reparations that were FAIR and honest(STEAM isn't a BUDGET INVASIVE Corporation, it's fair to it's clients), 3. the type of DLC that comes with it.
ARRRRRRR you done yet?
Pirating is morally correct. Go to the RIAA and tell them that, and them furnish a document of all illegally downloaded songs and movies (which will be made out for the MPAA). They'll laugh and tell you that you shouldn't of done that because pirating is morally correct and no one cares.

For one, your stupid; not only is pirating illegal in most countries, but it is also stealing.
Stealing is stealing, regardless from who it is.
Stealing from a big company is pretty much the equivilant of stealing from a small company. It's still stealing.
You cannot say pirating is good, in ANY way.

My stupid?
Edit: Also, sorry to break your bubble, but torrenting something is certainly not stealing.
Is the point of this thread to justify you pirating products from "Big" companies?

If you ask me, they deserve to be stolen from, I see nothing wrong with that. Smaller companies however actually deserve their reparations because there's either no middleman or not so much of a budget-invasive middleman. How much do you think it costs to release a commercial movie in the united states? minimum 60 million. 5 million to make the movie... the rest goes to the big corporations. and it doesn't cost them a dime to distribute it. now THAT'S stealing if you ask me
yes
This sort of mentality is bad; it's been shown that when large corporations start losing money, salaries of big-shot CEOs are the last things to be touched and the first thing to go is usually lower level employees.

Where the hell did I mention torrenting shit?

Who is responsible for the damage? The corporations or the people whom steal?
Fucking idiot. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/extra-credits/2653-Piracy. No excuse for piracy. Except one.
I love the escapist, and Extra Credits/Zero Punctuation.
Don't worry about the popup.
Music piracy is actually helping the music industry. I don't think pirating software and movies is cool though.
have some satire

I'm pretty sure Activision makes up for all the piracy with their horribly overpriced map packs for one.
I would only pirate games when it doesn't have a demo.
ARRGH! my auto-merge, it hurts.

The company is successful so as a result it is okay to steal from them?

No piracy = free map packs?

No, it's because the company is unfair to their clients by not giving them a fair reparation for their work.
[img_thumb]http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/8809/piracy.jpg[/img_thumb]
Yeah, but usually what refers to "STEALING" is lost revenue
[img_thumb]http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/8809/piracy.jpg[/img_thumb]
Piracy removes the money the company could have made.
Theft steals the money.
So, the company doesn't even get the money from the "sale". It's stealing.

Ninja.
Where the hell did I mention torrenting shit?
Then please enlighten me what kind of piracy you are talking about.
No, it's because the company is unfair to their clients by not giving them a fair reparation for their work.
A company is successful so that must mean it treats all it's employees like shit?

What kind of piracy is there appart from piracy?
Piracy doesn't always mean stuff has to be torrented.
