Rockstar drops new Max Payne 3 Screenshots - Polidicks

At least Max looks a little more like the Max we know and love from the earlier games.

I'm not liking the cover system. I thought max payne was about fast paced movie type action with jumping around and shit.

I do know that a large part of the game will be playing through flashbacks of what happened between Max Payne 2 and the present, iirc.

You also flash between New York and now, and other time places. In Max Payne 3 you're basically time traveling as Max.

Max Payne 1's model was based off main writer, Sam Lake. [img]http://images.wikia.com/maxpayne/images/2/2f/Sam_Lake.jpg[/img] Sam Lake felt it was too unprofessional to use himself as the model, so they ended up getting actor Timothy Gibbs in Max Payne 2. [img]http://cf1.imgobject.com/profiles/ccf/4dbf09415e73d617e4003ccf/timothy-gibbs-original.jpg[/img] So now Rockstar is continuing the tradition of a new appearance every game. As far as I can tell, this Max is actually based off Max's voice actor James McCaffrey. Makes sense, he's an actor too. It looks like bald Max still uses Timothy Gibbs' models which is rather confusing, but I don't know if they're going to change that or not. Looks awesome. Style reminds me a bit of Mafia 2. Glad it's not all fat Payne in the jungle.

I actually like old Max no one gets the appeal of playing a tired old man who's had enough.

Its a flashback but don't know if its from MP2 or a section to show him deciding to leave.
