Child abuse and it's effects on peoples personalities and decisions is very interesting to me. I think the root of societies' problems stem from adverse childhood experiences and watching these videos is essential to understanding social human behavior.
It is also interesting to take what I have learned from these videos and apply them to people I know in real life to obtain insight on why they act a certain way(mostly subconsciously) without being intrusive.
I believe these videos are important because of the knowledge they bestow on the viewer and after watching them, you will view people's actions much differently.
These videos are a bit lengthy, but there are many facets to this subject and it can't be explained in five minutes.

If you don't have hours to commit at one time, just watch them in segments.

Also, what do you think about the link between ACEs(adverse childhood experiences) and lower IQ, childhood memory loss, ADHD, etc?

Careface? I was just trying to give insight on child abuse (even spankings) and it can change a persons outlook on human behavior in general. Although there may be many younger people on here and they might not be interested in this stuff, I still think it is important to learn about the things that may have effected your life.

It's very interesting
Part 2 is his really long interview with a doctor who does weight loss programs and it's really interesting on how abuse can affect weight gain and stuff like that.

I'll just leave this here :smug::respek::v:
I wasn't abused (as such) but I have Anger Problems and Aspergers, but Aspergers has nothing to do with it as that's not an environmental effect.
My parents have never hit me once and I'm a normal person.
Let's get together and feel alright! Hear the children crying!
If only Lankist wasn't banned. He could rant about this.
feel free to rant for him
