“LillyHammer” TV Show Reveals the Corrupt, Alcoholic Culture of Socialist Norway
35 replies, posted
I had the great displeasure of receiving a promotional copy of a new television show the other day.
It contains hours of sex, immorality and mafia gangs that prowl lunatic disco clubs for drunken victims.
The program is calledLillyHammer and it depicts the tragic European nation of Norway. It will come as
a shock to American audiences to see the severe alcoholism and political corruption, the gambling and
the abject poverty that defines the Norwegian culture. These are a lonely, bitter people who know nothing
of Jesus Christ. They look sickly from the dark, snowy weather. The children grow up without fathers and
the women have sexual intercourse with any man who crosses their path.
...
The great drawback of LillyHammer is the obscure and difficult language its characters speak.
It is harsh and crude, sounding almost like an alcoholic burp interrupted by an attempt to vomit a heavy
fried fish meal. Watchers in America will undoubtedly find the Norwegian way of speaking both offensive
and laughable and it’s a shame the dubbing is not better.
Christwire is a satirical website that publishes blog style articles that highlight supposed excesses of American Christian conservatives along with obscure weather reportage, new vernacular, intense focus on various communities, and numerous parenting and lifestyle tips.
Aye it's obviously satire, I pity anyone who can't see that.
Amusingly the same kinds of things are actually said about my hometown by basically everyone i've met outside Hull lol.
Wow. I didn't expect that from the country.
Didn't expect what, exactly?
Oh my god the comments.
Holy shit my sides.
Lillyhammer is pretty fucking great though

Gold from the comments

As a representative of the Ministry of Propaganda, I completely disregard your analysis. The reason we endorse drinking among our many single mothers is simply that this is the easier way to make them breed more work force for our coal mines. Energy needed for our self protection endevours, mostly directed at the aggressors to the west, is sparse. In addition, the rice paddies have not yielded sufficently for long despite the Prime Minister's son being in charge of the agricultural program. As for the filthy discos, we fail to see your argument. These are modern and luxurious facilities for pre-breeding rituals that enable our women, in combination with alcohol, to initiate desired population boosting activities. Please refrain from references to Jesus Christ. We have the Stoltenberg Dynasty and abstract deities do not produce more babies.

Hahah, this sounds like um, Jersey Shore? I guess whoever wrote this is living in an alternate version of the United States, because I know damn well in my own lower echelon of society that we're just as morally impoverished and addicted to various drugs.
Also, this made me lol: "Watchers in America will undoubtedly find the Norwegian way of speaking both offensive and laughable."
But I like Norwegian. :( Beklager for this FASCIST.
Edit: Also lol'd at picture of naked guy on bike. Now I really need to watch this.

Man, I looked every where for Season 1 of this show. It wasn't until like, eight Google searches later that I discovered it was spelled with one L. Lilyhammer. I was even prepared to set up my own subtitles for it until I found them included in the one-L version of the show.
fuck you op and article
but I love you for introducing me to this awesomeness
Denmark, to the South, offers a far more festive, joyful atmosphere and one wonders why the show wasn’t filmed there.
Oh lawdy please do not ready the comments
Possible chance you start to flip tables when you come to the part of the "Browny Christians"
What's wrong with Vikings?
Parody news sites are not news.
What's wrong with Vikings?
Too hardcore for sissy Christians.
From the fine gentleman that posted the article.:
"I am not a blogger, I am an Investigative Journalist and this report was indeed researched. I make no apologies for exposing the sexual impropriety, political radicalism and alcoholism of Norway. It's about time this nation atones for its crimes against the world and I truly want the healing to begin."
In short... one massive satirical troll.
I guess every country has those people who you were scared of in public, and you thought they were not scared of anything.

Well there's your problem.
So is it a good show? That's the real question here.
Also the people who think this is real on the site would have a good shock coming if they looked five feet to HBO and Showtime :v:

It's a good show.
But it may be shocking for Americans or something, there are tits, corruption and lots of alcohol.
But now i'm just repeating what has already been said, just give it a try. Myself i love the show.
My dad told me about this show.
He said it was pretty good.
