Ok. So i was wondering if i could get this old hard drive i had that has XP with a bunch of old docs that i want to keep, and make it a virtual PC and put it on my new computer. I cant just upgrade xp to windows 7 this is my work computer and my boss would get mad. is it possible?
Not sure about the microsoft virtualisation toolkit, but you could do this with vmware with a p2v (physical 2 virtual) conversion. Then you could run the vm in vmware player and all for free.
You could create an image of the hard drive using a disc imaging program. The only problem is you'd need to find a way to convert the image to Microsoft's VPC image format.
