• Should I continue to play the drums?

Well, about three years ago I quit playing the drums, not because I wasn't enjoying it, or I was bored, but because the music teacher I had was making me feel intimidated and various other things, now, his half brother was Sting, which I thought was pretty cool. :v: The problem was my brother also learnt guitar off him, so basically our lessons were just playing together and learning new stuff, my brother could literally play anything he wanted so all the focus was directed onto me, now, my brother didn't need any more teaching so he stopped coming, as the lessons were pointless, and expensive. Now because my brother stopped playing my teacher invited his wonderful music prodigy prick of a son (I wonder if hes the problem), he came in and started replacing my brother, he was great at playing I'm not gonna lie, but obviously he hadn't seen many of his fathers clients and then only started coming in and playing with us, he laughed when I didn't wanna play a fill I hadn't totally covered yet, he then looked at my teacher and they both laughed, he came every week and there was always something the two of them would laugh about. Now, I'd love to play again, it wasn't the boredom, I loved the drums and still do! But is it worth the money? I'm 16 now and I don't know if its too late to start learning again, obviously I wont be bad, as I think it may still be there, well some of it. But I'm just wondering whether its worth the money, what do you think guys? I sold my kit last week too, not out of choice though. TL;DR: Quit because my drum teachers son was a prick, I'm 16 and Idk if its too late and worth the money again. Agree/Disagree?
You do whatever your heart tells you to.
I don't see a reason for you to stop if you love it. It's not too late and I think worth the money.
Go for it.
If your teacher is horrible, just don't go to his lessons.
Keep playing. Maybe you could learn from books or the internet instead.
Honestly you could have fun just playing the drums by yourself and learn some stuff. Having a teacher would help you learn the best way, but just do whatever allows you to have the most fun.
Don't like your teacher. Don't go to him. Self teach yourself. It's pretty common to see self taught musicians.
