So many movies are coming out these days in 3D, personally, I think no movie needs to be in 3D, what are your thoughts about 3D movies?
Over-rated and overdone.
3d movies are awesome [img]http://www.file-extensions.org/imgs/app-picture/1343/3d-movie-maker.png[/img]
When 3D movies are done right and are a FULFILLING cinematic experience... then no E.G. Avatar and Toy Story 3, these are IN RELATION to what I just said.
If a movie is developed specifically for 3D, it can be fun, for instance the older movies made usually for kids had good 3D. But nowadays, they're making their movies, and slapping 3D on as an afterthought.
I don't see anything great about it..
It is quite easy to predict what movies will or will not be 3d within the first ten seconds of the trailer
I think they're best used in animated films where it's basically seamless and perfect, because you have total control of what is being rendered out and how. Conversions suck, they just never work. It's too hard to pull something like that off without filming it for that purpose from the start. Though I definitely see 3D as a moneymaking gimmick, I eagerly await how it melds with the gaming industry. Real-time interactive 3D can only add to the immersion of a game, at least if you have a decent monitor. If nothing else, I'll be glad to see that hit it's stride.

3D is pretty cool. But it has to be produced for 3D.
Oh god.. Clash of the Titans I regretted seeing that in 3D
I'm sick of people bitching about 3D, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Its a gimmick and some people like it but if you don't, just go watch the regular version.
3D will be better when directors try to do less SHIT FLYING TOWARDS THE VIEWER
gimmicks are annoying [editline]02:26PM[/editline] at least they made it so it doesn't hurt your eyes anymore
Makes me glad I saw Clash of the Titans in 2D.
3D doesn't work for me.
I saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, while the effect is nice, it is also very unnecessary and not as amazing as made out to be. It gives some good depths sometimes but I don't see the point really. [editline]07:05PM[/editline] Besides charging more for movie tickets of course.
So Directors out there, stop being lazy by just converting your film! You have to ACTUALLY film it with 3-D compatible equipment.
It was said to be eye popping.
Theres a thin line between enhancing the movie experience and doing it for the money. Avatar and Toy Story 3 are fantastic to have in 3D. Clash of the Titans, however, was not.
The really annoying thing, is that you don't get given anaglyph glasses, which are the mostly used kind of 3d outside of the cinema. I wanna play 3d minecraft damn it :saddowns:
3D is just the new fad. They're making 3D TV's and everything. I don't understand what brought them back, I used to think 3D films were shocking and all they used to do was induce migraines.
IMAX 3d is amazing

Everyone jumped on the Avatar bandwagon. The only problem being Avatar did 3D right, nothing else has.
Avatar and Toy Story 3 are the only good 3D films at the moment.
I don't see the big deal like everyone else but I wouldn't really say it's overused, though that might be because although there are so many 3D films lately, I haven't seen one yet.
I hate them, now when im at work, i have to actually read people tickets because i have to give them the glasses.
My local movie theater is too poor to/too lazy to order any newer projectors. We still operate on the actual film-moving-through-the-projector system. From my understanding, most theaters are digital now. This being said, I haven't seen a 3D movie since Spy-Kids 3D because of the above reason. Even Avatar was in 2D man.
It's a gimmick, sure but it's a cool gimmick quit your bitching
