Was Trayvon Martin aggressive and paranoid from smoking marijuana, and did that lead him to attack George Zimmerman? That’s what lawyers for Mr. Zimmerman are arguing. He is on trial for killing Mr. Martin, but claims he acted in self-defense, and the judge in the racially charged, nationally followed case decided earlier this week that the jury could be presented with Mr. Martin’s toxicology report, which shows that he had marijuana in his system.
Here's a joint now go aggravate that guy into shooting you rather than eating these nachos.
Weed doesn't have to affect everyone the same way. If a mind-altering substance was found in his system, obviously they're going to use that.
I sometimes get angry easier when im high but it is a silly assumption

one of my friends becomes an irritable prick when he's stoned.

And in floods the anecdotal evidence.
Edit
Just because some people happen to be a little irritable doesn't really refute the fact that its a drug that is basically know to mellow you out.
See yoff know pot is good and da goberment needss to stop being so silly and stuff #justice5trayvon.
Lawyers will take nearly any shot that benefits their client, its not as if people were being gentle with George Zimmerman.

FTFY
As much as everyone is quick to jump on the whole weed being pretty harmless wagon. There will always be a degree of risk when it comes to any type of substance whether it is natural or manufactured. I'm not saying this is a legit excuse, but it is always something to keep in mind. Everyone reacts differently and acts differently when feeling such side-affects.
Even in the article it says
Mr. Martin was killed, found a mere 1.5 nanograms per milliliter of blood of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, in his body. This strongly suggests he had not ingested marijuana for at least 24 hours. This is also far below the THC levels that I have found necessary, in my experimental research on dozens of subjects, to induce intoxication: between 40 and 400 nanograms per milliliter.

Skittles confirmed Mind-altering substance.
Skittles are nasty fatty junk food > sugary sweets.
Edit
Oh I see I forgot thats what he was getting.
why the fuck else would you go to a corner store for an arizona and some skittles at night
Weed slows down your reflexes greatly, trying to use it make Martin look like a big bad scary gangbanger r is trying to imply is kinda pathetic and desperate.
How about Zman just admit he was a complete idiot for stalking kids at night and causing fights I hope he gets convicted of manslaughter soon. Hopefully this will stir away anymore wannaba cops and crimestoppers from causing more harm then good.
How stone was Martin? I have to admit being able to beat somebody while high is pretty damn hard.
Oh nvm found out in article, havent gotten high for atleast 24 hours.
I heard this while listening to news about this case months back. I was with my mom at the time and I just elbowed her and was like "That is the dumbest shit I ever heard!"
that iced tea martin had?
not made with tea leaves

i'm not saying whether it makes most people more aggressive or irritable or w/e. i was just saying that i know someone who becomes irritable when smoking.
and drugs have different effects on different people.
marijuana is a mind altering drug.
you can't just dismiss it in a case that resulted in a fight and somebody's death just because "it's a chill drug."
The real point of this is that to a lot of people, someone 'high' on ANYTHING is a drug crazed lunatic. Depending on how experienced the women on that jury are regarding pot, they could have a "omg, he was on DRUGS!" reaction. This would of course help Zimmerman's self defense claim.
This is all a game to make the jurors jump to one side or the other regardless of truth. It's a polarizing play in any case and it may make a big difference here even though there's no evidence to say he was violent because of weed, or that he'd very recently inhaled of consumed it.
It doesn't matter what drug it is really, just calling him out as a user in current culture just about guarantees he's going to get the shitty end of the stick.
ah yes the pot defense. when the "my client is fat and stupid" defense fails.
where does it say the lawyers said that? I watched the trial and they barely mention the marijuana
[editline]13th July 2013[/editline]
they have WAY stronger points than that

He's not going to jail lol.

Jail, no, Prison, Who knows, the trial was so far from fair it wasn't funny. 6 person jury, all female, 5 with children and the judge was obviously biased against Zimmerman as well. The only thing she did that was fair was say No, you can't now charge Zimmerman with 3rd degree murder because 2nd degree suddenly isn't panning out. Then there's the fact that they weren't allowed to talk about Treyvon looking to illegally sell a gun, or the drugs, or his school suspensions, his previous fights, or the women's jewelry and screw driver he had in his backpack when a school security guard searched him. For all we know he's the guy Zimmerman started the neighborhood watch to catch in the first place. Basically he was just a great kid and they weren't allowed to show the jury otherwise, But put his mom on the stand? Was she at the scene when the shooting happened?
Also, why is being a 'cop wannabe' bad? Since when is wanting to be a cop bad? Are the people after the Boston Bombings that rushed to help paramedic wannabes? Playing police is one thing, wanting to be the police is another. I don't think Zimmerman should have been following the kid, but he did call the police and I guarantee you he didn't throw the first punch, or any punch for that matter, the only injuries on Treyvon were skinned knuckles from hitting Zimmerman and his bullet wound
I'm certain it wasn't second degree murder, or even manslaughter, but who knows what the jury is going to decide. 5/6 have children and are probably going to be thinking Oh he murdered a child, what if it was my child. The only thing in Zimmerman's favor is the evidence, which should be enough you would think, but there's just too much against him everywhere else. It's 50-50

skittles are legit illegal to sell here in Denmark
