Basically I've always been interested in helmet cam stuff, so I forked out the money for a helmet camera and bower lens (so I can see my hands and feet in the video) and this is the result.
If you like what you saw, subscribe to my channel, because there will be more stuff like this.

Flip Mino HD

Flip action tripod.

Bower Wide angle lens.

All that turns into a pretty damn good helmet camera, as seen in the video.

The tripod thing was accidentally pointed a bit downward. So when the camera is pointed at the ground, I'm actually looking at my friend.
Oh well. v:v:v
-snip-
I enjoyed the video, what kind of helmet? I may invest in that equipment.
Do something more interesting with the camera on your head, drive a car off a bridge or something.
What the dicks? I have a Kodak Zi8 which has far better reviews than the Flip Mino (not trying to sound mean) and it doesn't have any fancy tripod stuff like that!
Nor can I install lenses that aren't magnetic! Bwaaah! I want to do awesome stuff like this too, anyway props for being able to use that as a helmetcam, please fistfight people with it.
Would your mount work with the Zi8? I'm just going to duct tape mine to my head or something.
the video was a little bit less sexy than most of the povs i watch

If it has a little screw in thing for tripods, yes.
And the lens is magnetic. But it's a pretty strong magnet.
the video was a little bit less sexy than most of the povs i watch
Because most povs are recorded with Go Pros, which cost around 200 dollars.
Edit
The joke
My head.
I climb up light posts at my local park, the lights are like this so I can just sit up there and drink or smoke up. Pretty relaxing at night.
Can you have sex with that camera of yours on, please?
I don't think Hasselhoff could manage to have sex with that camera on...
Nice graphics, does it have multiplayer?
Nice graphics, does it have multiplayer?
Yeah with over 6 billion people!
The gorpro camera is the best and easiest pov camera I've used. I'd get one of those instead.
Not really true first person as it isnt through your eyes, rather the top of your head. But still cool nontheless.

I don't really feel like paying 300 dollars for a camera when I already have something that works fine.
Doesn't anyone wonder what that thing he's climbing is?
Doesn't anyone wonder what that thing he's climbing is?
An old communication tower. Probably not smart to climb too high on it.

You could try that sometime, it's $180 and has exactly what I need so I am getting this sometime.
What are you climbing?

I might.
But let's see.
3rd generation Flip Minohd=$60
flip action tripod=~$10
Bower .45 lens=~$30

$100
So basically, you get a regular camcorder with lens, and a helmet camera for about $100.
Right now my flip is pretty good for what I'm doing, which is just filming for kicks. If I ever get more into this type of stuff I'll probably invest in a Go Pro.
What are you climbing?
literally 2 posts up are you fucking joking
Video was annoying cause it felt like you were constantly looking down..
Video was annoying cause it felt like you were constantly looking down..
Yes yes, I know. Next video I make I'll make sure it's screwed in so it's up some more.
[sp]Just for you baby <3[/sp]
This was nowhere near as exciting as I expected it to be...
try looking up

ffs
I always wanted to try to make one of those Artsy videos, where it'd just be a POV of some normal stuff throughout the day.

Thinking about doing that, actually.
Neat video, my only suggestion is to figure out your route ahead of time, and to make sure all your equiptment is snug and not going to fall off. How much did those three items cost together?
