SEOUL (KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A woman in her 40s has been indicted on charges of attempting to rape a man after drugging him, becoming the first woman to be charged for such an offence in South Korean history.Up until June 2013, Korean law did not acknowledge women as rapists, which meant it was not possible for male victims to file complaints to the police.
This is also the first time a woman was arrested for sexually abusing a man.
The 45-year-old divorcee, identified only by her surname Jeon, was indicted last month, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in Seoul said Thursday. She faces another charge of attacking the man with a blunt instrument.
Really makes you think about all the other rapes happened in the past. Quite shocking really.
Sets a good precedent.
I was going to say that tumblr feminists are gonna throw a shit fit over how South Korea is being "mysoginistic", but they're too busy with "sexism" in video games.

There was no mention of any of the sort. Don't being up issues that don't exist, yet. Bringing up shit like this accomplishes nothing.

Seriously?

actually, the majority of feminists would applaud south korea for this, mainly because this is a step towards judging people based on their actions, not their gender

Indeed. Actual reasonable feminists want gender equality - the term LTJGPliskin wanted to use was SJWs, but I still don't see a reason to bring up that stuff in that thread, it's completely irrelevant.
It's good that the law now recognizes that it's possible for a woman to be a rapist, but how about the society? America still has no proper support networks for male victims.

Take a chill pill, crusader
I'm always kind of shocked by people who don't think it's possible for a woman to rape a man. And it isn't some feminist double standard, men frequently seem to be the ones who apologize for female on male rape. Look at any story about a teacher who rapes an underage student, there's always a lot of "atta-boys" in the comment sections on those articles. It's a perverse attitude born out of fantasy.
Consent is not a female only thing, both people need to consent. Women are more than capable of coercing men, or using drugs, alcohol and even violence - denying that men can be raped or that woman can be rapist is sexist and harms us all.
I knew a guy who was raped by a woman and when he told his friends they laughed at him, and when he sought help he got domestic violence pamplets on women being hurt by men
this is a big deal and happens more often than youd think, because people never think it happens or believe people, and there are people walking clean who should be in jail because of this. I mean, a lot of countries dont even acknowledge it happens
Glad to see sk taking a step in the right direction.

people generally view female rape as "all guys like sex so how is it a bad thing"
personally being forced to have intercourse with someone i'm not attracted to who also restricts my mobility regardless of gender sounds pretty rotten to me

to be quite honest i don't know where people get the idea that it's a feminist thing, it seems very obvious where the link is between "men can't get raped" and "wow what a lucky guy." which is made even more ridiculous because there's numerous people on this forum who do actually get super pumped when teenage boys get raped by women. so even if those darn feminazis were involved, it would still be a completely meaningless point

yeah, that's not a feminist issue. I wouldn't even say it's a men's rights issue (as much as the term makes me cringe), it just has to do with shitty masculine culture that tells men to suck everything up and go get as much ass as they can.
