As the title says, I've bought a second 670 cheap (around 240$, normal price is 330$+) while my other 670 is on RMA.
Can I get away with a 650w PSU? I use a Corsair one but I'm not sure exact which model (I can check when I get home if it's important)•
My specs are.
i5 2500k OCed to 4.4GHz (Can downclock a little if it will lower my powerdraw enough for SLI)
•ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard
16GB 1600MHz RAM - Corsair Vengeance.
SLI cards will be a EVGA GTX 670 + PNY GTX 670 with reference cooler.
2x ASUS 24" monitors 1920x1080
1x 1TB HDD (Can't remember if seagate or WD but I think it's WD, not sure if green, blue, red etc. Can also check when I get home).
1x Samsung 840 Pro 128gb SSD
Windows 8 64-bit Pro.
External 2tb USB2.0 HDD (I assume it also takes power from PSU through USB)•
Corsair 500R Case (Can check how many fans there are, havent added any extra ones so it's all default)
NZXT (something like that) LCD Fan controller.
Corsair 650w PSU non-modular.
If there's anything I've missed please tell me and I'll check it out.
I would say you need at least a 700, but I would recommend a 750 to be on the safe side.
You might be able to get away with a 650 psu, but it's cutting it real close.
The 670 has a relatively low TDP, so you might be able to do it.
The 670 has a tdp of 170W, and the i5-2500k has a tdp of 95W.
170 * 2 = 340 + 95 = 435 leaving 215W for the rest of your computer.
It's up to you whether or not this is enough, but I would say if you don't overclock anything it would probably be enough.
Corsair is a very solid brand PSU. If it would be a cheap ass 650W PSU I wouldn't try it.

I have my CPU OCed to 4.4GHz but the GPUs are never OCed because I only have troubles with OCed GPUs on this PC.
Just my opinion. I'd get rid of the 670 and get a single 780 for that price. They are 500$ now after all. You will avoid stuttering issues and such that you would get with SLI and get a consistent high fps out of your card.

nvm sorry I just realised you just bought your second 670, thought you just bought one for cheap and were going to get another.

Yeah I can still sell both of them but trust me, The 780 here is not 500$, the 670 is new and some cheap 770s.
