So yeah, even after cleaning out the fans and stuff my GPU is nearly always at 80+ idle. Every time I play a game it lasts about 2 minutes before shutting down my PC, despite the quality settings. What should I do?

Open the case up and see, if the fan is running? Just to be sure..
Or maybe you managed to get the fan off and now you need to replace the fan + thermal paste?

Yeah, it's a low prof motherboard, and the airspace is really low. There's not really much I can do about it either.

It's kinda funny, but my 4850's lowest temperature is 86c, where the highest one is 106c.

Help please, I'm seriously at the point of ripping out this card, taking a shit on it and using the Integrated ones instead. At least those don't fucking cook toast.
Take the card out and remove the heatsink and reapply thermal paste to it. The seal between the GPU and the heatsink was likely broken and the paste is all dried up and it is unable to make a proper seal at all.

Neither place stocks them. eBuyer.co.uk is your best bet.
Don't clean the heatsink where it meets the GPU unless you have some thermal paste to replace it with.

The fan honestly isn't really that loud, probably to do with the card getting overall less power due to a low profile case bla bla bla.
Leave the case open at all times?
Bump just to say that the Fan on the graphics card itself has packed in, the Catalyst panel said it was at 100% but the fan was not recieving any input. I'll have to buy a new card. thanks for the help.

My graphics card has two fans, and it's pointing to the bottom of my case.
At 100%, it not only sounds like it's going to take off, I'm actually afraid I might create the worlds first hover-PC :v:
