keep working. Try reading some other books and try to notice things the author does. These works are still pretty sloppy and are lacking in many areas
Besides overall, is my writing style and story ideas like decent? I've always had a more "Not Happy Ending"-morbid taste to my writing.

It doesn't have any suspension, anything that keeps you reading. I had to force-feed the first story and second I couldn't finish. It just wasn't interesting, I didn't want to know what happened next.
