• Internal clocks. How sharp is yours?

I've recently updated my desktop to no longer display the time, as its been fucking with me severely. Its appears that either my internal clock is as frosty as it gets, or I'm being harassed by time itself. I can perfectly pinpoint when its either 29 or 35 seconds into a minute, and this has led to major anxiety and changes in action (OCD-like behavior). It even led to look into the number 35 in depth, because I was beginning to feel it has a negative connotation to it. I was just curious... Does anybody else on FP constantly bother on checking the number of the time? Do you feel anything when you see a certain time? Also related to 35 - I somehow look at the clock perfectly when its (for example) 2:35, 3:35, 4:35, etc. INTERNAL CLOCK DISCUSSION, GO!

It must be just you because I just looked at the clock and it said 10:14
I'm not really paranoid enough to be looking at a clock every 2 minutes
i dunno. usually at night, if i have to get up early, i can tell myself "wake up around 9:00" or whatever, and i will.
Reminds me how I when I always look at the clock early in the morning or in the evening, it is 9:11 AM or 9:11 PM.
I constantly see 1:38 or 11:38 on the clock, along with a few of my friends
When I was younger I used to go over to my next door neighbor's house and play on his playstation. He had it in his basement that didn't have any windows. One time we were down there I got up and told him I had to go. He asked why and I said that I needed to be home at 5 PM. There wasn't a clock down there but when I went upstairs the clock read 4:59 and he was pretty amazed. I wasn't able to do that again, I'm guessing it was a stroke of luck that I got it right
Whenever I have to wake up early, I do
I have a horrible Internal Clock. I usually can guess it within two hours of the actual time, but that's not too good. Also, the clock always happens to be 9:11. It was when I was surfing Facepunch before I saw this thread. Creepy.
You should probably get that checked out, it isn't healthy to be that obsessed with a number.
I wear a watch. That's all the timekeeping I need. I can usually wake up 5 minutes before I tell myself to, so if I'm like "I want to wake up at 9" I wake up at like 8:57. But I can't tell time while awake without a watch.
My internal clock is pretty much shot because I go to bed at 3-5 AM and wake up around 12.

All living things have an internal clock, thats how birds fly south for the winter and what not.. It may be that the more you focus on an internal clock, the stronger it gets? I don't know. I'm just trying to make sense of whats been happening.
Once I saw the movie "The Fourth Kind" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fourth_Kind) where people get abducted by aliens, and they wake up every night at 3:33 am and see an owl outside their window. The night I saw that I woke up at 3:34 am. :c00l:
My internal clock is pretty much shot because I go to bed at 3-5 AM and wake up around 12.
I sleep (on usual) from 7-8 AM until 2-4 PM. This never dulls the god damn number prediction, as much as I wish it would. (Also, I see what everyone did there. Rating this thread with the clock image...) [editline]29th June 2011[/editline] YOUR ALL AGAINST ME ARENT YOU OH GOD
I have no real perception of time, so I guess you could say I have no internal clock.
If I even have a internal clock anymore it's gotta be screwed to all ends, I wake up at a different time every day.
i was dreadfully tired this one morning so i sat down on the toilet and kinda phased out for a while and then i came back to reality and thought "whoops i hope i didn't fall completely asleep" trying to act like some psychic I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on figuring out the time. i imagined a couple of numbers but stopped at 08:34. i took a piss and put some toothpaste on my toothbrush, which took like a minute I guess, before venturing out of the bathroom to check the clock on my phone and it said dun dunn dunnnn 08:35
Glock your actually a time bomb and your set to go off in a few hours.
This has happened to me in the past OP, everytime I looked at the clock it would be on the hour or quarter past
I remember having this same type of discussion on an old forum I used to visit like 7 years ago. We eventually found out it had to do with brain waves/cycles and sleep. They generally always last the same amount of time, so doing things like always seeing a time is due to some sort of cycle or something that is always triggered at the same time. I don't know the name of the phenomenons, but that was the gist of them.
My internal clock is so sharp, I would use it to chop off my pinky to save my son. Oh, yeah I go to bed at 4 in the morning and wake up at 6.
To all the people who look at the clock and it says a certain time, that's because your brain only registers that number as it's "important" for whatever reason. You look at the clock a billion times, but your brain doesn't remember them because it's not relevant for anything. Your brain is only registering that number because you or it thinks it's important.

Seriously. I can feel some ease now knowing the number 35 is following other people..
Glock your actually a time bomb and your set to go off in a few hours.
No I AM NOT. FUCK YOU. I hope I don't die.
This has happened to me in the past OP, everytime I looked at the clock it would be on the hour or quarter past
Has it ever induced anxiety at all?

That holds no grounds when I'M CHECKING IT EVERY MINUTE AND SEEING EXACTLY THE SAME NUMBER. If I was checking it twice or more every minute and getting CLOSE to 29 or 35, that would be a different story, a much more relieving one. But it's not my story.

I used the hatchet since my logic was I thought it would be fast and do it one clean swing, but I wanted to try the lead pipe just to see how the fuck he'd manage to cut off a finger with a pipe, never replayed it though, I also got the worst ending where everyone dies and I never caught the killer.[/sp]
My internal clock is fucked up, one day I'll go to bed at 6pm and wake up at 11am feeling fine, another day I'll go to bed at 12am and wake up at 6am feeling as if I'm filled with energy and remain fine throughout the rest of the day.
