"This isn't for sympathy or anything. This is for awareness," Jordy Hurdes stuttered in the video he posted Monday as his body shook with muscle spasms. A couple of days before, on Saturday, when Hurdes was in the hospital being treated for the drug reaction, he posted a photo collage including an image of himself connected to tubes along with photos of him with friends in better days. "Going out and having fun is all good and well. And taking party drugs (pills, pingas, googs) seems like a fun option and you don't think anything life changing could happen to you," he wrote.
Wasn't this video around for a while, now? Pretty sad to see how damaged he has become. I am glad he chose to show us what ecstasy could cause
its worth noting that he took significantly more ecstasy than any rational person would at once
its worth noting that he took significantly more ecstasy than any rational person would at once
Taking unknown party drugs in the first place isn't rational at all.
Wasn't this video around for a while, now? Pretty sad to see how damaged he has become. Dealers/manufacturers end up doing shady shit by cutting other nasty crap into pills which their customers do not know about. That's how you see others dying or just getting floored. Every time you pop one you take a risk not knowing where it came from which is the scary thing.
What the actual fuck is pingas? Pingas means dicks in Panamanian dialect.

It's becoming a fucking catch-all term for any goddamn pill at a party, and when you're the type of person people go to when there's trouble it's so fucking frustrating. I stopped doing drugs because of stupid experiences like that. [editline]28th November 2015[/editline]
What the actual fuck is pingas? Isn't there ways to make the muscle spasms better though? Pretty sure there are a whole lot of therapy and stuff involved but it is possible. Right?
I can see why this is going around considering the one death, and one hospitalized after drug related issues at Stereo last night in Sydney.
If I knew as a 17 y/o idiot on the streets that MDMA was neurotoxic and that there is a regimen of pills and supplements to take before, during and after a trip, this guy gets no sympathy from me. Not to mention tester kits.
Altough ectasy itself is illigal in the Netherlands, it is legal to bring your pills to the local lab and test their purity. Since pure MDMA itself is harmless when you don't take it too often, Deaths/serious injuries are almost always the result of uneducated use of the drug, like people drinking themselves to death because they can't pee anymore.

I was unaware "pingas" has become slang for extacy.
I was unaware "pingas" has become slang for extacy.
It is extensively used in Australia.

Anxiety/depression in the week after using it? No shit, you just released all your serotonine! When you know you can't cope with that you shouldn't be taking it in the first place. Also the page suggests there is something like ''moderate ectasy use''. There is no such thing as responsible moderate ectasy use, When you take this stuff more often than every 3 months or so you're an uneducated idot who's burning his serotonine receptors.
So how do educated drug users prevent heart failure, kidney failure, seizures, or hyperthermia when they take MDMA?
how do you prevent getting struck by lightning?
how do you prevent getting struck by lightning?
The probabilty of being struck by lightning is significantly less than the probability of adverse reactions from taking designer drugs. Not to mention they're hardly comparable since you don't willingly ingest lightning. Nice try though.
So how do educated drug users prevent heart failure, kidney failure, seizures, or hyperthermia when they take MDMA?
It's like the commercials on tv where they say not to use the drug if you have a preexisting heart condition.
It's like the commercials on tv where they say not to use the drug if you have a preexisting heart condition.
Yeah, those drugs are prescribed and managed by MD's or NP's with extensive education in medicine. Your local drug dealer is not one of those. [editline]29th November 2015[/editline] Js you can have heart failure without any history of cardiac disease.
The probabilty of being struck by lightning is significantly less than the probability of adverse reactions from taking designer drugs. Nice try though.
The odds of being struck by lightning in your lifetime is 1/12,000 It's definitely safer doing a moderate dose of MDMA than walking around outside.
So how do educated drug users prevent heart failure, kidney failure, seizures, or hyperthermia when they take MDMA?
There is no proof that MDMA itself can cause kidney failure, an heart attack or warms up your body temperature to a dangerously high degree . When this is the case, it's due to the setting the drug has been used in. To pevent kidney failure, do not drink more than a bottle of water every hour or so. To prevent a heart attack, make sure that you don't have high blood pressure or another heart condition before taking the drug and prevent hyperthermia. To prevent hyperthermia, leave the crowd once in a while to cool yourself ( Also be wary of the limits of your own body i'm sure you can dance yourself to death while in extase ).
The odds of being struck by lightning in your lifetime is 1/12,000 It's definitely safer doing a moderate dose of MDMA that walking around outside.
Again, you don't willingly ingest lightning. This whole 'responsible drug use' shit is ridiculous. Yeah you can be more responsible when taking illegal drugs (knowing the effects, dosing, etc) but the act is inherently irresponsible since there's no way to know how your body will react to a drug each time. The most responsible drug use is to not take any illegal drugs at all. Do you think that's how you solely get hyperthermia? It doesn't matter if you're in a crowd of people or at your house, the reason why it happens is because your bodies thermoregulatory response is fucked up from the drug. Not because you're close to a group of people. You don't need a history of cardiac disease to have a heart attack either, especially when talking about ingesting non regulated, non managed, non controlled medications.
I was unaware "pingas" has become slang for extacy.
Sure has mate.
And this is why you always use a test kit
Because of its stimulant properties and the environments in which it is often taken, MDMA is associated with vigorous physical activity for extended periods.2 This can lead to one of the most significant, although rare, acute adverse effects—a marked rise in body temperature (hyperthermia).3,4 Treatment of hyperthermia requires prompt medical attention, as it can rapidly lead to muscle breakdown, which can in turn result in kidney failure.
Ever been to a packed edm venue? Even outside, the center of a crowd can be 10-20 degrees hotter than outside of it.

I mean I'm not stupid I know there's a difference between taking a drug and eating an apple but at the end of the day the amount of people who have had a dangerous reaction to MDMA is incredibly low. I'm sure there have been things you've taken/done in your life that while may have been legal were far more likely to have killed you, you just don't know it. Demonising drugs because they've killed people is like demonising cars. Actually it isn't since a few dozen people have died in a car accident since I started writing this post while I highly doubt anyone has from MDMA use.
