A young man punched Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy hard in the head Wednesday evening after managing to get next to him at a campaign appearance in the northern city where Rajoy grew up.
The unidentified attacker was standing next to Rajoy on a street in the city of Pontevedra in the Galicia region while he talked to a crowd, then pulled his arm back and delivered a punishing left hook to Rajoy's left check.
Video on Spanish TV showed Rajoy falling toward the ground from the impact but being propped up by others around him.
Spanish media reported that Rajoy's attacker was 17. Video showed him being detained by security guards and then taken in handcuffs from a building, raising his hands and thumbs into the air in an apparent victory sign.
Nothing says "Victory" more than punching a senior unarmed man in the face out of the blue and then running off like a little bitch.
Well that was a poor decision
I love how he thought he could get away. :V

I mean I have no idea if the prime minister of Spain is a douche or not, but still not a great way to say "I don't like how you do things."

Can someone, preferably a Spaniard, comment on whether or not the PM of Spain actually is a douche? This is a very important question

Well, that's subjective. Politically speaking, I'd think it'd be right to say most folks disagree with how he's been doing things, but I don't think he's a 'douche' per se. When people want to laugh at him, they'll just refer to his ineptitude.
By the way, the teen who attacked him has been confirmed part of a "fan" group which supports "podemos", the new left-wing (socialist) party. This is gonna cause quite a bit of stir, just 3 days away from general government elections.

Are you talking about that Football club which has already said "we're not responsible of that"?
I'm also reading he's linked to radical independent groups, and Podemos is pretty much against it (at least on Catalonia's case); unless you have a good source about that...

The treasurer of his political party is being judged for fraud and he sent him encouraging SMS (and his computer with proof of it got hammered unexpectedly), unemployment rate has gone up 5% since he started governing (even though it's going back as of recently), and he's made a SHITLOAD of spending cuts everywhere (with education and health getting a big stab).
I ain't gonna cry for his pain.
Eh, he might be a douche but punching him in the face is no way to solve things, specially now that we're less than a week away from general elections and this will only give him more votes.

Yeah well, I don't tend to get myself into politics, but what you've said is pretty much true, and as far as I understand politics, I share your point of view, but as you know there are many others who think he's still good for governing another year, so I didn't want to flatout say "yes, he's a douchebag".
Although I think as much as we don't like him, that was pretty unnecesary and violent, independently of whether you support his party or not.
Shame this didn't happen to our resident pig shagger Mr. Cameron.

The dark magics of his rituals have erected a shield of malevolent energy around him preventing this
Congratulations guy, you just accomplished the opposite effect of whatever you intended, by being a dumb brute. Nobody will remember your fucking name, and now everyone in the world will knoew that Rajoy was attacked by some idiot with an agenda, making him more popular, and making whatever you represent, vile.

And the best of all, he made the opposite parties look as radicals, even if all of them condemn this attack. Good job.
Is shameful how all the extreme right wing newspapers are saying that he is from radical left parties without proof (depending of the one you read, the guy is from one party or another) when actually he's just a hooligan that was already known by the police for other incidents with football.
Is really strange how 1: The bodyguards, unlike other times, were far from the president, and 2: Someone "with that aspect" got so close to him without raising doubts. Also notice how as soon as he gets attacked the bodyguards only goes after the kid, they leave alone the president with a shitload of reporters, instead of taking him out of there.
Conspiration or not, this is not the way to show these miserable people what we think of them, we must show it with our votes.
All of this will only make him look "as a democrat who got lynched" when what he really deserves is to lose the elections, being judged among the rest of their party and thrown in prison for all the corruption they have done.
