Whenever I'm using skype all other sounds get muted. I have set the communications in system sounds to do nothing, and I've changed the ringing option in Skype to use selected speaker but I still can't get sound from other programs while Skype is in a call.
Did you set your speaker configuration to? 5.1?
I used to have that problem, and setting it to stereo sound (2.1) fixed it.
