Let's face, he isn't going to last that long considering he attack an army base. Theses people are trained to fight a war and he's just a lone gunman.
There hasn't been any updates for almost 30 minutes, has me worried
Oh for fuck's sake.
Police and Swat have went in, scene around the building is on lockdown, traffic stopped, etc. It's going down [editline]26th January 2016[/editline] Another base just went on lock down, Point Lola according to the live feed

Heard on scanner that he barricaded himself in the childrens ward, with kids present
Heard on scanner that he barricaded himself in the childrens ward, with kids present
Any word on if the suspects active duty or DOD contractor?
Any word on if the suspects active duty or DOD contractor?
None so far that I know of
I hope he outs himself before he does any harm to the kids, Jesus.
Heard on scanner that he barricaded himself in the childrens ward, with kids present
This suddenly got fucked up hard and real fast.
Heard on scanner that he barricaded himself in the childrens ward, with kids present
heard on the TV ~15 minutes before your post that there was a children's ward there but they'd been secured. Schools in the area are also on lockdown

I can't wait for the part where we dissect the shooter's every little thing in their home and show their credit cards and other shit on live TV.
“The investigation of Building 26 continues. First responders and Navy working dog units have conducted an initial top down inspection of the Building and have not located any casualties or evidence of a shooting having taken place. There have been no reported casualties at this time. There is a secondary, more thorough floor by floor inspection taking place at this time. The medical facility remains on lockdown and a shelter in place order remains in effect.”
Know a lot of people there, but a lot of contradicting reports. Reports of being barricaded in building 26 (which i hear is the barracks), than I hear that hes in a Pediatric ward, but than I hear that nothings been found in building 26 or the hospital, and all staff are accounted for. Sounds like another "loud bang, active shooter" knee-jerk response (for good reason), that happens at every DOD medical center every 4-6 months.
Hopefully it was a false alarm.
no shooting happened at all http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/26/us/san-diego-naval-medical-center-shooting/index.html as someone on /r/military put it
TLDR "I was in the gym alone and heard 3 bangs! it was scary!"
False alarm guys. Someone probably dropped their weights when re racking or something.
Let's face, he isn't going to last that long considering he attack an army base. Theses people are trained to fight a war and he's just a lone gunman.
Didn't stop the navy yard shooter or the forth hood shooter. Stopped the UT Austin shooter though
Let's face, he isn't going to last that long considering he attack an army base. Theses people are trained to fight a war and he's just a lone gunman.
Naval Hospitals are slightly more protected than a civilian facility. The staff don't carry weapons since it's basically just a Hospital, but Navy.
What the fuck? This situation went from The shooter locking himself in with kids to no shooting at all? Well that's a relief.
What the fuck? This situation went from The shooter locking himself in with kids to no shooting at all? Well that's a relief.
Really goes to show how quickly a story can be sensationalized.
Well, better for someone to report it even if it wasnt real Imagine if someone didnt report it and it was a real shooter You cant ever be too safe
So where did all this nonsense about him barricading himself in a room with kids come from if NOTHING happened. It's one thing reporting what you think might be gunshots, but this has to be made up.
