“Nokia will study the complaint when it is received and continue to defend itself vigorously,” Nokia spokesman Mark Durrant said by text message today. “However this does not alter the fact that Apple has failed to agree appropriate terms for using Nokia technology and has been seeking a free ride on Nokia’s innovation since it shipped the first iPhone in 2007.”

The ITC is a government agency whose job is to protect the U.S. market from unfair trade practices, including patent infringement. If it agrees to consider Apple’s complaint, it could complete the investigation in about 15 months. A copy of the Apple complaint wasn’t immediately available.

The agency hasn’t yet agreed to investigate the complaint filed Dec. 29 by Espoo, Finland-based Nokia, although the ITC typically grants such requests.

My Nokia has been able to use flash/java, have a 800x380 screen, recieve MMS, 2mpixel camera, 3g, changeable memory/battery, a real qwerty keyboard for 3 years now. Even by now iPhone is worse than my 3 year old phone so not really saying that all Nokia phones are crap.

You really have no idea how much money Nokia has now do you? Apple may overprice their products and reap off the benefits from that, but Nokia makes good, solid products which gets them a lot of money.
The only phones around here I see are either cheap Samsung's or something like that, but everyone knows that if they want a real phone, Nokia is the way to go.

Apple has just built off of things and no wonder this his happening again. using Nokia to build up its smartphone and then Apple fanboys constantly fight against me that I say Apples software had to start somewhere and it came from the PC
PCs are from the mofo dirt even if they do seem like dirt sometimes

and I just recently bought an LG cookie and I love it. I bought it the day i went to the apple store and i was trying out some Iphones.... the LG is way quicker and easier to use in most aspects plus it doesnt cost a fortune

I had a choice between an iPhone and a LG cookie liked the cookie better plus it was cheaper

I chose a Zune HD over the iTouch mostly because of the Zune player cus iTunes is outdated

I understand it is in a business plan to set up your products to sell over time... But Apple is the WORST about this...

They release an iPhone with a camera... But you can't record video... So what is apples solution "Don't worry in 6 months we will come out with a new iPhone that will record video... that will be the only update and you will have to pay the price of a new iPhone."

The next upgrade, "Hey we are bringing you the same product except this time its just a tiny bit faster."

In another 6 months they will come out with a new iPhone with another tiny tiny unimportant change and charge out the ass for it.

I could have gotten an iPhone with my most recent phone upgrade but instead I spent my money on a Blackberry Bold 9700...

All my icons aren't scattered randomly through some gimmick home screens.

In my personal opinion if you want to compare phones the Blackberry competes with the iPhone quite easily and is geared towards a non-bullshit market.

If you want the toy of an iPhone get one. If you want a phone that gets shit done and is actually useful as a device go with anything else.
