Question Have you every experienced something that could have scarred you for life while visiting "another" section of a forum? Tell us about it (not the specifics, just how it made you feel). Background A recent internet trend was to go on Reddit's 50/50 subreddit and to do something called the Reddit 50/50 Challenge just like this one. I tried this one myself, and I was shocked as to what I saw; I never thought that these things could ever exist or be done by people! It was a lot of fun guessing the option that would show up while having a 50% chance of being right. It was a very frightening experience not to know what I'd see next. After completing this challenge, I now know that I will not browse that subreddit ever again as I now see what the dark side of the internet truly is. Final Thoughts In any case, I have heard many stories of horrific things seen on forums, and it's very unfortunate that they exist out there. It would be nice to see terrible content removed from the internet, but this would promote government censorship and control over the people. It's tough to find a solution to the problem of extremist content being online, any ideas? What are your thoughts on this type of content? Should it be banned/censored by the government or should it be exposed for the public's eyes to see?

yeah i went on the darkweb once on this thing called tor and i discovered a website for drugs but saw this thing called murder delux and i ordered it and i died
I wasn't paying attention on Reddit one day a couple years ago, clicked a link assuming it'd just be Imgur or a "safe" site like usual. Suddenly, up pops one of those old school porn "portals" with like a hundred thumbnails and links that go to completely wrong links. The difference was what I saw in the first row of thumbnails. I have never closed a tab quicker. I'm not often bothered by gore or "extreme" fetishes, due to obvious desensitization but what I saw left me absolutely shaken and scared. I unsubscribed from the subreddit that allowed random URLs and double-check every link destination I click ever since.
