Mailing shipments was very common 10 years ago. They would wrap it in plastic wrap and spray it with stuff to hide odor from drug dogs.

The issue is local growers might not be available, cannot produce enough product, or cannot get a variety of products. Having everything shipped in fixes all that, and better for dealers in cities. There's no huge farms in the city. Having stuff shipped in from rural areas isn't all bad of an idea. Not saying they all do it via fedex it might be personally by vehicle instead too etc.

Ah, I didn't think of that, that's a very good idea then, and is probably a very good business for the mailman.
The best thing to do would've been to keep a hold of it for a duration of time, if nobody claims it after a while then it's fair game.

Someone ordered it and the dealer on the other end sent it to the home address, with a random return address in the city it was shipped out of. Home was no longer there or was rejected for some reason.

Well shit maybe things just work differently in the states but around here if you're buying larger amounts across distances the norm is to just use the car, or at least get on a train or bus with the goods in your bag. As long as you're not crossing borders you won't be randomly inspected by police anyway.
The risk of the package being seized by a nosy mailman is just too big to take when it's that much money involved.

any dealer/buyer worth their salt would know better than to order 11 pounds from a website that you do not use a program like TOR to access, as I said before. bringing up your dealers is irrelevant because i was clearly referring to the person who had his package sent to the wrong place.

how often do you have your normal packages seized and opened by a mailman/postal worker? despite the us postal service's infamous lousy service, it is quite rare for mail to be lost or taken by an employee unless there is suspicion behind it; if the goods were sealed correctly, there'd be no reason for anyone to suspect it and try to steal or open it.
