Buying a new graphics card?

I'm thinking of buying a new gfx card, because i got a new monitor for Christmas(24") and my card doesn't handle the big resolutions so well.

Here's my current setup

Nvidia 7600GS 256mb
1.8 Ghz intel dualcore
4 gb RAM

i know it's really shitty, but i can't afford a 600$ computer right now.
how much would my processor bottleneck me?

I haven't been in the PC "scene" lately so i'm not really updated could you tell me some good cards? maybe max 120$

is the GT220 good?

Go like a 4850.

Yeah the processor would definatly bottleneck it. Get a cheap E5200.
