There are a lot of things wrong with your current build... what's your budget so I can make some recommendations?

Total: £871.50 (Rounded up on everything)
1. CPU: Intel makes the best cpus these days, the i5-3570k is the best at its price range
2. Mobo: ASRock makes solid mobos, good warranties, good everything about them
3. GPU: Radeon HD 7950s are the best at their price point unless you use CUDA cores
4. HDD: Caviar Blacks are the most reliable hard drives (besides Spinpoints)
5. PSU: Don't need more than 700W in a psu unless you are triple SLI/CFX
6. Memory: Corsair XMS3 are low profile, good specs, also just because Corsair makes great memory
7. Heatsink: Hyper 212s are some of the best heatsinks and are extremely cheap for the performance they offer
I dunno, at that price range Nvidias seem to be better, if only for decent drivers.

ATI has had good drivers for the past few years. This really is no longer a point of contention for not buying one. The only practical reason to bash ATI's drivers is if you do a lot of work that benefits from PhysX or the CUDA cores only present in Nvidia cards. Also, the only comparable graphics cards at the $250-$300 range are the 7870, 570, 660ti, 7950. Then there is a huge drop off until $400-$500 when you get into the 670 vs 7970 vs 680 vs 7970ghz debate.

In my personal opinion, I go with Nvidia 100% of the time, but that is not to say AMD isnt good, because its very good (I guess you could say I'm a Nvidia fan-boy) but here's how I'd bring it.
-
Nvidia: alot of eye-candy and other features, cost more.
AMD: Better for multi-monitor setups almost all the time, not as many bells and whistles and a good price point.
-
I myself love the eye-candy and its CUDA for my personal benefits, but if I where running a triple monitor setup Id go with AMD.
-
These are just my personal opinions, and the whole point of having a PC>console is because of the graphics and some other neat features that a console couldnt provide
-
This is all of course, for the games like Borderlands and such which allow more eye-candy.
I need a simple CD / DVD drive. It will be mainly used to rip cds and burn dvds. I also need it to install windows.
Any suggestions?

Go to newegg.com or equivalent retailer Go to dvd drives. Select dvd burner. Sort by lowest price. If 4 star or higher rating, add to cart.

The OP is in the UK, so no Newegg there.
Have a £12 Samsung burner: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/samsung-sh-s222ab-bebe-samsung-22x-dvdr-12x-dvdr-dvdplusrw-x8-rw-x6-sata-black-oem
I really need to pay more attention to where people are geographically.
That or people need to move to the US.

I didn't see anything wrong with what you said. You clarified Newegg or an equivalent retailer which covered all your bases. You did good.
Check the quote. I edited my post.

Oh. Yeah... Should work on that maybe.
Thanks for your help Evilan, But i acquire your assistance once again. The Graphics card has gone off scan.co.uk, there are many other variants but some are overclocked. May you help me look for a suitable 7950?
I was looking at this one -

Yeah, that would work fine since XFX has a good warranty and always makes quality products. What happened to the card I linked earlier though, the link is totally 404'd?
XFX is going down the drain, don't get it.

You can buy adapters.
I have decided to also include a SSD in my build for the OS. I was looking at this one
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/128gb-crucial-realssd-m4-25-sata-6gb-s-ssd-mlc-flash-read-500mb-s-write-175mb-s-new-version?utm_source=google+shopping&utm_medium=google+shopping
i need 128gb and my price range is upto £90.
Thanks
Crucial M4s are really reliable, but also really slow.
I'd recommend either a Samsung 830:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/128gb-samsung-830-series-ssd-basic-kit-ultra-slim-7mm-sata-iii-read-520mb-s-write-320mb-s-pc-mac
or an Intel 520:
What are you talking about?
I've heard of lots of problems with XFX recently - due to Nvidia's pressure, I believe.
One thing that they're definitely changing is the double-lifetime warranty - down to the minimum legal duration of 2 years.
Secondly, (speaking from experience) XFX support takes absolutely ages to reply - it took me over 3 months to actually get an RMA setup as I was waiting 2-3 weeks for each email.
i miss ATI
