What do you plan on doing with this build?

If you already have an OS, this build can easily be managed for $500.
Monitor resolution?
I would be using this build for gaming and my screen resolution is 1024x768
What games?
What games?
Pretty much any game on steam. (Crysis, css, tf2)
So you want a $500 build that can play most games on steam?
What quality? Do you have an OS/HDD that you can reuse?

I would prefer high but i really dont give a shit about the graphics THAT much. And sadly no. I dont have an OS or a HDD :( I just get hand-me down computers that can barely run CSS. Not worth bringing the 40gb harddrive from my old to this one
Alright, I'm trying to get a build together right now.
thanks
Also, a question. Do you happen to have an email address that ends in ".edu"? You can use it to buy a student's copy of W7 for only $35.

Total price: 553.91. You can whittle it down by $35 if you do the rebates.
I'm going to need some critique on this build though.
Thinking that the combo deal with the 600W PSU wasn't necessary.
I'm not sure about that cpu.

Neither am I, I'm not too good with gaming builds at $500. This would be a different story if the OS was at a student discount.
