I don't really like Skype that much anymore, all the useful features are now pay-to-use. No doubt Microsoft will push that further.

I doubt that Microsoft will keep Skype free, they'll probably integrate the whole thing into Windows Live/XBL.
If someone thinks this will be without paying a couple of dollars a hour they are wrong.
I use skype for video/voice calling and file transfer, if that doesn't change well it's not that bad right?

This could mean good things for things like Xbox Live voice quality in the future.
Maybe Microsoft are going to use it to improve the 360's voice codecs again so you don't go from talking on steam with crystal clear skype codecs to wondering if your hearing is impaired or if it's the other persons headset on the 360.
While the Skype service is pretty awesome, the software of the program is so outdated and badly programmed, I hope M$ will atleast make a proper client.
I don't think this will benefit the consumers, seems like it could turn into a cash grab.

Judging by what they did to Windows Live Messenger, I doubt it.
the more I think of how they'll most probably fuck skype up, the more I think I should delete my account and look for some other similar program to use... God this is bad news, people.

I love(d) it, they kinda ruined it with live essentials 2011.
Meh I'm meaning to get rid of Skype sometime anyway.
Good reason to stop using Skype altogether. Already moved onto using mumble now anyway.
