I can't fucking roll joints. I've tried countless times and ended up with ripped and/or crumbled paper and weed all over the place. Is anyone else unable to roll? Any tips for those who can?

The best way to learn is to practice. Also, make sure you put the roach in when rolling, it'll prevent from :
- Weird shaped joints
- Roaches falling out
- Loose roaches
- Weed falling out (by both ends)
- Looking like an amateur
- RAGE
Also, when you have the roach and the weed inside the paper, roll them inside the paper like if you were rocking them (back and forth) until you have a round shape with the weed. Also make sure the roach is not too small but not too big and that it cannot let weed pass thru and go in your mouth. When the weed has the good shape, roll it near the edge of the paper near you and roll it so the other edge goes on it tightly then lick, finish the joint. Sometimes you might want to like the glue through the paper itself (yes, you can lick the back of the paper where it has glue and it does wet it). With a pack of rolling papers you should be able to practice and achieve a nice thing.

I make perfect joints by rolling the paper around the roach into a cone beforehand then packing in the weed after. I doubt that's proper in any way, but it works for me and I like the finished product.
Step by step:
1. Find large surface to work on, like a desk/table/large plate/etc.
2. Chop up alittle more weed than you need.
3. Take out a paper and hold it with the adhesive side away from you
4. Using either the paper dispenser's flap or your hand, scoop/pick some weed up and sprinkle it onto the paper's fold, make sure it's spread evenly across it too.
5. Fold the non-adhesive side over the weed, pull tight with a back and forth motion towards the adhesive end slowly till it get's that round shape, then lick the adhesive and fold it over the non-adhesive side, and pull tight.
6. If you end up with a loose and shitty joint, twist the one end shut, and with a pencil and/or scissors, push more weed in from the other end until it's no longer loose and shitty.
7. If you fuck up, start over, cuz you'll never learn if you keep giving up, how do you think I learned?
I suck at it too. One of those rollers in the third post are good though. Just make sure you get one that doesn't roll shitty little twig joints
I just roll a shitty one then find a flat surface and roll another paper over it, making it nice and tight

Not too worried about it. It was just the first thing I thought of when I saw that he couldn't roll so I found a google image.
Moving on, I agree until you get good, using a rolling machine isn't a bad idea. That's how I started.
I want to roll because it's more convenient in some situations, but no matter what method I try short of rollers I can't get the end under the herb, and it all winds up falling out, then when I try to pack it all back in it winds up being loose as shit because it all goes to one end.
I also don't use proper rolling papers though, so that might be it, I've been cutting it out of the blank pages of a pocket bible.
I think my paper is just really bad for rolling.
What's a good brand to use?

Yeah you've definitely got to tear off a strip off the packet for roach. And you should really try silvers, the paper is so much thinner, and it makes such a smoother smoke
The best advice I can give is to break your weed up as much as you possibly can. The more ground up the better. When rolling pinners it makes things easier to fold the paper right under the gum and to create a crease as tight as you can get to the weed and just fold it up rather than rolling. It's hard to explain by typing I just hope you get what I'm saying.
