Before you ask, yes I've googled this question, and it gave me little to no insight on how to fix this very fustrating issue.
I can't pinpoint when it started, but this is a very growing issue. I keep getting disconnected, it's at random times. It's a wireless connection. I've updated the drivers, turned off power saving for the network, power cycled, restored router to factory setting, restored computer to a working date, diagnosed problem and "fixed it". The problem still persists. It's a real pain in the ass and it seems to be this computer only as I've kept a laptop on and that doesn't disconnect when I disconnect, ever. I'm on Vista 64 bit, my connection is O2 and it's ADSL+ 2. The router has been replaced in the past because I thought it was the router's problem, obviously not. I get 2-3 bars at best but that's obviously not the problem due to my laptop keeping a constant connection at the same level of bars.
So please tell me does my network card in my computer need replacing? My current one is "802.11n Wireless PCI Express Card LAN Adapter". And if so what is the best and preferbly cheap wireless network card out there, and how would I go about putting one in as I've never opened up a PC in my life. Also are USB network adapters good or better? And what are very good options for those?
Still got this problem. :colbert:
*cough*
Oh look it's this thread again. Come on guys... ¬_¬
there's no need to bumb 3 times within a day and a half
borrow an usb wireless from a friend and look whether the problem is still there
Aw comeon, anyone got any suggestions atall? And I can't borrow one, I'll maybe buy one IF it's down to my network card...
Change the channel on your router to better match your wireless adapter.
