• Extreme laptop cooling?

I recently purchased a quite potent laptop and I've seen some pretty high temperature readings. Is there any laptop cooling system that is more efficient than just a standard laptop cooler? The best solution I've found so far is just to purchase a box fan and place the laptop on that, but the problem is that I've never seen a box-type fan in Sweden. Ebay has them for $20, but I'll need to get a power converter for that one. I doubt that would be comfortable. Gaming in a whirlwind. What temperatures are you seeing? 80-90+ isnt something to worry about on a laptop. Also make sure its on a hard surface and nothing is blocking the fan. If all else failse there are laptop cooling pads. Well I would be getting an external keyboard along with that fan in order to create some distance between me and the laptop. Laptop coolers are pretty good, but I think that a normal fan like the one above would outperform a laptop cooler by far.

Why didnt you just buy a desktop? They are cheaper and faster. What laptop did you buy anyway? Anyways you didnt answer my first questions. AND: 1: Your laptop probably doesnt need cooling. 2: Mounting a massive fan under it isnt going to help because its just going to blow air against the plastic underside..... You are just going to look like a massive (noisy) idiot with a fan like that under it.
Fill a cookie tray with liquid nitrogen.
Eh, all most laptops need is a good dust-cleaning and repasting to run like new unless you're heavily overclocking.

It's a Y510P with the SLI configuration. CPU hitting 82 degrees celsius at peak.
Why don't you just get something like this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834982137 You have no room for a desktop, but you have room to put a big ass box fan as a laptop cooler?

(like the one npc_hydra or me linked)

Core #2 shoots up to 87 degrees when loading BF4 in single-gpu mode. And that is after raising the back of the computer.

Perhaps it might as well have something to do with some intrinsic difference between 650Ms and 750Ms - but it won't be how their stock voltages and clocks are set at the factory, considering I've played heavily with those and haven't had much cause for alarm.
Could I disable the main GPU and only use the UltraBay GPU? Perhaps that would decrease heat as the CPU and GPU have to share the fan on the left side.
Its not overheating stop worrying. Its designed to work like this. These things have been tested to hell and back.
