Over the last few days I've put together these main components for a new gaming PC Case: Coolermaster Elite 334U Black Midi Tower Case w/o PSU Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda LP 2 TB - 300 MBps - 5900 rpm PSU: 520W Antec Neo Eco Modular PSU CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 960T Black Edition, S AM3, 3.0GHz, 8MB Cache, 95W Graphics Card: 1536MB Gigabyte GTX 580, 4008MHz GGR5, 795MHZ, PCI-E, DVI/HDMI/VGA Sound Card is getting Looted from my current PC RAM: 2x 4GB Corsair DDR3 XMS3, PC3-10666 (1333), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.50V I'm looking to run the Current High Spec games (On High) and keep going (medium settings) for about 3 years Any blatant mistakes?, And any feedback you guys could give would be amazing.
Yes... 520w PSU won't be enough, I don't even know why you got a 580 when a 570 will do more than enough, and a 5900 RPM HDD? I honest god think this build needs to be thought out more. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] Also one would assume you're re using your motherboard?
CPU will massively be bottlenecked by that card, get a i7 2600K
CPU will massively be bottlenecked by that card, get a i7 2600K
Or just an i5 2500k that will perform just as well within games. Literally, just as well.
Because the only site I know about is scan.co.uk here is what I put together and its a better build with the i5 2500k, spinpoint f3 and 750 PSU, You can get a 580 if you want but a 570 or 560 ti will already be enough for 3 years. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] Herp derp, forgot the motherboard. Oh well only adds another 100 on to the exsisting price but still a much better build
Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda LP 2 TB - 300 MBps - 5900 rpm
Was about to say is 2TB really needed with current prices, but then the below covers it pretty well.
