As protesters blocked the police van carrying Mr Saakashvili, who left Georgia in 2013 and served as governor of Ukraine's Odessa region in 2015-16, the authorities accused the firebrand politician of working to overthrow the government.
Prosecutor general Yury Lutsenko said at a briefing that Mr Saakashvili received $500,000 to hold protests from an associate of former president Viktor Yanukovych, who fled amid mass street demonstrations in 2014.

This is a shitshow.
Poroshenko and Saakashvili repeatly accuse each other being a servant of kremlin.
Misha gets stuck on roof and almost decides to jump rather than get arrrested an hour ago, now he's in a crowd proclaiming some revolutional stuff.
What a joke.
Welcome to 1917
And now they are at Maidan with Misha, proclaiming to end Poroshenko's rule.
Georgian Criminal against the Ukranian Oligarch. No other options left in Ukraine?

he left Georgia after he was accused of some shady stuff, and obvioulsy, immediatly hoped onto anti-russian hype train in Ukraine, Poroshenko granted him citizenship and Odessa Governor status for a good PR but Misha being a loud-mouthed unstable idiot could not play fair and messed up with all - from Avakov to Poroshenko himself.
What is the most surprising is how people follow a person who once ate his tie on live tv. Then again, they might be desperate and out of alternatives for a rallying point. But, sheesh, he's like, even worse than Trump. FAR WORSE

Putin later remarked that he was open to meeting with him, but would rather do it without wearing one, just in case.
