I'm thinking about buying a new midi keyboard but I don't know which one to buy. I already got a AKAI but it's getting way to small and I ain't got a pitch or anything.
I was think the roland A-500PRO but I don't know anyone who has one so I don't know if it's really good.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
You can get a cheap keyrig with 49 keys and mod/pitch change for like $100
I love my Oxygen 49, perfect if you're wanting to spend around $150-200
Oxygen 49 is great.
Go down to your music store so you can actually feel all the models imo.

I was planning on doing that.
Just needed some opinions on MIDI keyboards so I could compare them.
Thanks
I agree on the Oxygen one. We have a bunch of 'em at school, and I've had no complaints about them so far.
which AKAI do you have? Get the mpk88 if you want something bigger lol
The Oxygen 49 is great.

I think I have the LPK25
It's really great if you have to take the train a lot.
you can just take it with you and produce in the train.
but in my studio I need something bigger...
go for an AKAI MPK49, 61 or 88, as you get more controls and drumpads (which are srsly good for making drum lines, no need for a drum machine). I personally own the mpk88, it's keys are weighted and weighted and feel very nice. The only real downside this thing has is it's weight (29 kg on the 88)

And if you don't have unlimited money like Despo, go for a 61 key axiom if you want good drum pads and faders.
I have the older version of A500, the drumpads suck, faders are decent. Knobs are completely different on the A-500, so I won't comment on those.
I don't use it very much because of space limitations.
If you don't know how to play piano btw, don't bother. The lpk will work good enough for you.
Scattered thoughts in this post. W/e, just don't buy anything dumb.

you're contradicting yourself
Also, I don't have unlimited money, I just save up and go for the best instead of buying crappy equipment.
besides, the 49 and 61 versions of the akai are somewhat cheaper

I am not contradicting myself, the Axiom has way better value than The MPK, which is overpriced. There is no need to buy a super expensive midi controller for electronic music. If you were writing something melody based I'd understand, but judging from your songs, you would do fine with an LPK, since it's pure electronic.

Oh man did I see this coming. I knew I should have checked your soundcloud first lol.
Anyway, still, the rest of my point stands. He doesn't need a bigger midi keyboard if he is gonna make electronic, and if he can't play the piano, he won't need one anyway.

I can play piano.
Feel way to limited with my small akai. I don't even have a pitch...
so Buy a new on I will!
