Americans will soon be able to order and pay for Big Macs from their mobile phones.
McDonald’s Corp. is currently testing a mobile payment application in Salt Lake City and in Austin, Texas, Lisa McComb, a spokeswoman, said today in an e-mail.
McDonald’s, which today reported U.S. same-store sales that trailed estimates for August, is looking for ways to make it easier for diners to load up on Big Macs, McWraps and smoothies. It’s not alone in seeking to ignite growth at a time when many Americans are eating out less. Burger King Worldwide Inc. (BKW) offers a delivery service with a $10 minimum order in some U.S. cities, while Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (CMG) has a mobile ordering app.
And so... the fattening BEGINS!

It's already begun. I think this will be the end when something like this causes a 90% increase in heart attacks overnight.
I always hear Americans complaining about McDonalds tasting bad, but it tastes delicious in the UK

I've tasted both and I can tell you there exactly the same. The only difference is your sizes are smaller.
Why am I getting box's? Anyone care to share their insights?

tbh McDonalds here tastes just fine, as far as I know. They might just not like the hamburgers at all or happen to visit bad establishments.
That's pretty cool, if they'd have tables numbered say 1-10 tables you'd order something with your credit card and place what you ordered and what table them am employee will deliver your heart attack.
Prank time. or do you have to pay before order goes through? BLAST

I'd heard people say there was a difference in the quality of the meat or something
either way I've heard you can get a double cheeseburger meal in america, and I'm envious :v:
Of course you order will get messed up because the computer you sent it to will be programmed in a different language.

they're just terrible burgers compared to how good some other burger places can be, but it is a lot cheaper
still waiting for that delivery service

From what I've seen, McDonald's has really been trying to change it's image, god knows how much they've spent remodeling just about every McDonald's in sight with their new brown and tan "modern" color scheme along with changing their menu to have stuff like Angus burgers and those McWraps.
Can't wait for it to come to Canada for EpicMealTime to order a ton of stuff and freak the system out. Or they can go to the States whenever this gets implemented.
mcdonalds is alright, awful for you obviously. I only get it while on vacation or something like that where I can't really pack stuff to make anything else.

EU has more strict and higher food standards so there is that.

I would use that app
I always hear Americans complaining about McDonalds tasting bad, but it tastes delicious in the UK
Same here. It's pretty great.
A lot of mcdonalds hate is usually just people who saw super size me and never got the point of moderation in eating fast food.
EU has more strict and higher food standards so there is that.
I would bet that has literally nothing to do with it. The US probably just has a tons more choices in fast food. So people are used to better places, like In N Out.
I don't have a problem with them though and I appreciate what they are doing to make the locations higher quality.
A lot of mcdonalds hate is usually just people who saw super size me and never got the point of moderation in eating fast food.
Naah, they're just used to quality over quantity.
mcdonalds taste amazing imo
people say its awful for you and shit but its no different to any other fast food restaurant in terms of health, i'd be willing to bet microwave meals are 'worse' for you
just don't order 40 mcnuggets with a side of 5 large fries and you'll be fine
Prank time. or do you have to pay before order goes through? BLAST
We already have pay-with-smartphone-app at Dunkin' Donuts. For us, you pay when you'd normally pay (after you've ordered everything) but the food or anything ordered isn't made until the purchase goes through. It's most likely the same.
I always hear Americans complaining about McDonalds tasting bad, but it tastes delicious in the UK
I've actually never had a problem with McDonalds/Fast food.
Sure, it isn't healthy, but I know that when i go to eat there and i don't go eating there often.
Besides, Cooking at Home/Proper Restraunts tastes better most of the time.
My dad used to do kung fu, he asked his trainer once what he ate, apparently it was McDonalds every day, you just had to watch out for the soda, that's what gets ya.
He may be full of shit though what do I know
All I know is those small cheeseburgers are fucking delicious. Buy like 3-4 of them, carry them in your pockets as you walk to the bus. Fucking great.
McDonalds is fine but you Americans have like dozen Fastfood chains that are surely better.
McDonalds is fine but you Americans have like dozen Fastfood chains that are surely better.
Thats true, we have fucking tons of them.
Probably because the whole Fast Food thing started in the U.S. though.
I always hear Americans complaining about McDonalds tasting bad, but it tastes delicious in the UK
McNuggets, some fries and a milkshake. They got the dessert/lunch game on LOCK.
I always hear Americans complaining about McDonalds tasting bad, but it tastes delicious in the UK
Mcdonalds tastes fine if you eat it while it's fresh. Wait too long and it gets cold and taste horrible.
They can't get the order right when I drive up to the window or walk in the door... there must be a snowballs chance in hell that they would get it correct when I'm several km's away..
