• Cracked screen. Where to repair?

Someone decided to be funny and drop a small piece of steel pipe on my ipod to crack the top screen layer on my Ipod touch 8 gigabyte version. There is now a huge crack in the screen in the top. The actual Ipod and LCD screen works fine, and the touch motions work fine and what not. Mostly, this is a low priority to get fixed. But the question is, where can I get it fixed for a decent price?
Did you drop a small piece of steel pipe onto the said funny guys' face? I would have. My local Apple store down the street does repairs, maybe you can check with them?
I didn't figure out who did it. Sucks man. I wanted to fucking boot someone in the face. I know apple does it but I would like alternatives to paying about 80 bucks to get it repaired.
Look around on eBay, they have kits to remove the glass as well. I don't know how easy it is, but it can be done
It's not easy to just replace the glass. The glass is glued to the lcd and would take hours to carefully remove without breaking your lcd. You can order a new digitizer (glass) and lcd screen combined already for around $50-$60 on ebay. It may be the cheapest and easiest ways to fix it, by only having to remove a couple screws, and three serial connections.
I never said it was easy, but it can be done
well it's 60 dollars for a risky task or about 80 dollars with guaranteed positive result. I wouldn't risk it
