This is starting to concern me... I believe something corrupted or Garry's Mod is broken.
Earlier today I went onto Garry's Mod, and had full sound! After I got off, and did some mapwork, and returned I decided to go play some TTT. I went on, and I couldn't hear jack. I was freaking out! I thought my headset was broken. Instead of waiting I jumped over to CSS, and guess what... My sound was working. After that I went over to other games such as DoD:S, Counter Strike 1.6, and Half Life. All of which had sound.
I'm unsure to why Garry's Mod canceled my sound, but my sound drivers are up to date, and I did check out my audio settings, and nothing has been changed since earlier. Does anyone have any clue why this might be happening or how to fix it?

This happen to me, I just waited a few days and it returned.
Gmod settings are right? Sound isn't disabled ingame? If you have Vista/7 you can alt+tab while the games running and check your sound mixer and make sure your computer isn't muting Gmod.
Thanks Gun! Apparently my computer muted the sound for Garry's Mod... Sorta odd really.
